    Nice portion size
I really like the packaging. They are individually wrapped, which makes cooking a lot or less easy. I like having salmon, but buying fresh salmon is sometimes not convenient. I’m always concerned that fresh salmon will get freezer burnt if I don’t cook it soon. So, this is a good purchase and the flavor is good.

    Good for Farmed Salmon
TL;DR: This is a good choice for farm raised salmon, but know that you are buying farm raised. This is a different fish species from all wild salmon available for purchase, and is probably not as good for you as as responsibly harvested wild sockeye salmon. There are a few things to know when you buy salmon. First, there are actually three commonly sold distinct types of salmon, all of which taste pretty different. Sockeye salmon is wild and is generally the healthiest and is dark pink to red in color with lots of healthy protein and high levels of natural astaxanthin and omega-3s. There is also pink/chum salmon which is also wild caught but has lower levels of astaxanthin and omega-3s, and is generally the least expensive salmon type and lacks the flavor and richness of other species. This is Atlantic salmon, which you can only purchase farm raised in the US because of population declines and its protected status. Atlantic salmon is high in Omega-3s and is the fattiest of all salmon types, giving it a buttery taste. However, there are concerns with salmon farming and environmental pollution as well as how healthy it is to consume farm raised fish (though in my opinion this is overblown if you are still consuming any processed foods and animal products from factory farms). The fish is also either fed or colored with astaxanthin instead of consuming it naturally.I give this five stars because, for farm raised, it is nearly as responsible as you can find, and it’s quite tasty and really easy to prepare. I still prefer sockeye for health reasons, but these buttery fillets are hard to resist. Sourcing matters regardless, and you can buy irresponsibly harvested wild fish the same way you can buy irresponsibly farmed fish.Keep in mind each prepackaged fillet is larger than the serving listed on the package, so you won’t serve 8 people with it.

Great, but a bit overpriced for the pre-cut sizes.

    My favorite brand of salmon
This is my favorite salmon, if I can’t get to whole foods I’ll order it. It is literally the most consistent salmon I get. It’s always fresh, never fish and the quality is amazing. I have been eating this for about 10 years the only brand of salmon I get for cooking.

    Convenient and tasty
Very prompt delivery. I like that these fillets are conveniently wrapped. I freeze the whole thing and then remove 1 or 2 from the freezer as needed. I thaw in the refrigerator or at room temperature in cold water (each piece is in its own bag). I cook them in a couple different ways. But once thawed my favorite cooking style is just in a cast iron skillet on the stove. The fish is moist, flaky, delicious-and healthy. I definitely like to have these around for a fast, easy, delicious meal.
