After trying six different ankle braces this is the one which works for me !
I love this ankle support! Of the five different ankle supports I’ve tried this is my favorite. With partial paralysis in one leg and foot I had trouble finding a support brace that would keep my ankle from rolling but still allow me to raise my foot up. A molded cast type brace, an Arizona Brace, which was made for me but it was too restrictive. This Aircast A60 Ankle Support Brace is much more comfortable than the Bauerfeind Malleoloc, which worked for me but was difficult for me to put on ( there are rods in my spine so I don’t bend much). The Aircast A60 goes on like a sock (albeit it does require a bit more tugging, especially at first) and I can fasten the Velcro straps myself. Such wonderful independence to not need help! The other ankle supports I’ve tried are; a simple black elastic Velcro attached ace bandage sort of thing, Aircast Air Stirrup Universe, and a Mueller Lite Ankle Brace. These just let my ankle slip around in them or didn’t offer enough rigidity. A McDavid Ankle Brace with strap which laced up did not give enough support either. The Bauerfeind Malleloc held my ankle very rigid but was bulkier and impossible for me to put on by myself.Even though one of the reviews for the Aircast A60 said it wears out quickly I figure I can buy five of them for the cost of one Bauerfeind Malleloc. Plus the Aircast A60 is much more comfortable and easier to put on.The first few times you put the Aircast A60 on it is tight and a little difficult, plus the Velcro is VERY aggressive and someone else had to help me get out of it the first time. But it soon ‘works in’ and comes on and off without too much effort. I’m very grateful to have found this Aircast A60 solution to my particular needs.

Comfortable and supportive!
I broke my left ankle last year and just recently had an additional surgery to remove some uncomfortable hardware. Iâm a womenâs 8.5 and I was skeptical of the reviews regarding sizing but trusted my gut and got a size small. I will say, even with post surgery swelling I have a narrow foot so if you have a wider foot or ankle you might want to size up. It works great under my converse high tops (although you obviously have to keep the lacing of the shoe looser than normal to fit over the brace). The white is great and looks as subtle as it possibly can with a white sock. It protects without rubbing or becoming uncomfortable, and leaves the majority of your foot and toes open to move around freely. Would definitely recommmend for anyone whoâs doctor wants them in an aircast!

May not be a good choice for lateral ankle injuries.
This A60 brace offers zero motion control or support for my peroneus/fibularis injury. The previous owner probably had the same problem – because they tried it and returned it ( in like-new condition, no complaints about that). Even if I wear this brace as tight as possible, there is no support. I still get a full range of motion with zero protection from twisting, inversion or eversion. So, whats the point? My other problem is with the hard side bars that wrap under the foot. The medial one presses into the fleshy part of my arch directly below my ankle bone. It makes my foot want to cramp up. Its even worse in sneakers.SizingI chose size Small, for a size 6 1/2 wide foot, and wore it over light socks. Its the correct size for me. I don’t see how anyone near the top of the size range could wear a small, especially with any swelling. And if you have cankles, well, I don’t know what you’re supposed to do.I didn’t know how many stars to give this. It doesnt seem defective. It may even help someone with a different shape to their ankle? I can only speak of my personal experience. The A60 doesnt provide any support to my ankle whatsoever. So I have to give it one star – because it say ‘support brace’ right in the name.I would return this if I could. If you have an injury to the lateral side of your ankle/foot, this may not be a good choice for you either.

Necessary Support
I ruptured the anterior tibialis tendon, making cycling, jogging and even walking difficult and extremely painful. The Aircast A60 Ankle Support Brace made it possible to at least walk distances, and even medium grade hikes, as well as use my ArcTrainer. The brace provides the necessary support and stability, subtly redirecting the foot forward, making it possible to use/exert pressure on the front of the foot, and not just the heal. In my case these was still discomfort, the struts – providing the stability – also pressed directly on the damaged area. To increase mobility, longevity, and also support, I coupled the brace with high hiking boots… beyond my ArcTrainer and CrossTrainer, using the brace with low cut shoes proved ineffective quite quickly.I’ve tried several braces, Aircast A60 Ankle Support Brace is – in my opinion – the best for daily usage, ease of fitting, and cost effectiveness.

… Murray wears these for tennis so they should be good for me
Andy Murray wears these for tennis so they should be good for me. They are made well and look like they will provide support when I get back to playing. 7 weeks out now and thinking of trying tomorrow.Update – May 2015I am wearing these on both ankles now for tennis. The first couple of times out after I was able to play again I had to get used to the feeling of them. I found that tall socks help them feel more comfortable. The stability is excellent. I don’t notice them any more and feel that they help me a lot. The sense of dread that occurs when you go for a shot is gone. You know, that little voice that pops up and says “this might hurt” but you take the chance with the shot anyway. Well, that little voice is quiet these days! These supports will be as important to me as my racquet is! I’ll be wearing supports from here on in because I don’t ever want another ankle sprain and the accompanying 3 months off the court. Thanks Aircast! Oh, BTW, sizing….I wear a 12 to 13 shoe depending on the brand so I ordered the large support. It’s a bit big. I have not tried the medium, but it is probably too small. Story of my life! Even in jeans I’m a 33 – 32 too tight, 34 too loose!

O Air cast ficou apertado no meu pé. Gostaria de trocar pelo tamanho G. Mas consta que o produto não está elegÃvel para troca. Então vou ficar no prejuÃzo?
