Precise Disarray –
truly waterproof, liquid just sits on top. Good dense material for claws/nails/wear & tear
So yeh, it sure is waterproof. I bought these for use on couch and dog bed (I bought two) for times when my creek loving labs come in with swamp dampened fur. I never seem to get them fully dried off, so them having a towel or easy to clean blanket helps mop up the rest of their wetness. Been using it like so for few weeks now, washed them a couple of times. Feels dense but soft.
How I found out that they are REALLY waterproof is that once in awhile one of my cats will decide to PEE on the couch or dog bed. I tossed this on their dog bed, which is sort of loose looking (as opposed to couch where it seems to stay straightened out), and I noticed that it was holding pee. The pee had not soaked into the material. SO I carefully picked it up and poured off the pee. In hindsight, I should have tossed a towel on it to soak up the pee instead of trying to walk through the house with a puddle of pee.
It is waterproof. That’s great. If using it to keep liquids from a place that can easily be washed, then this will do it. However, I would top it with something that can soak up the liquid. So for me, I will put this on the couch cushion then top it with a big towel or small easy to wash blanket. Then pee (or whatever) will hit that first, soak up, and THIS cover will keep the pee (or other liquid) from seeping down to cushion, mattress, etc.
It’s durable feeling material, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it for providing extra protection from nails, claws, wear and tear and such, as well as the waterproof aspect. One of the pictures from a review shows what I experienced: the liquid sits on top. So yeh, it is waterproof.
I’ll update if I experience anything else worth sharing, especially if I notice it not working anymore.

Buying another one
It honestly is the perfect cover. Iâve had this for 3 month and when it was time to wash my couch, it was barely dirty. Compared to the other part that is not covered, the water was gross. For the most part it stays in place. We take it off when guess comes over and itâs easy to wash as well.

Really is waterproof!
I always look for a product that is waterproof to cover an ottoman that my cat, for some reason, likes to pee on. Before I even put any waterproof cover on the ottoman, I put a tight-fitting waterproof cover on it first (because the current cover I was using was supposed to be waterproof, but the urine always went through it and directly onto AND into the ottoman). Then I would have to pull out my “Green Machine” to wash the ottoman, which is a lot of work trying to absorb the urine and get the smell out. Please excuse me mentioning another product but FYI “Angry Orange” is an amazing product and is an excellent addition for washing dog beds, covers or whatever needs a little extra help for smelling good and removing the urine smell. It’s a concentrate (and smells like oranges), so you just put a few drops in with your liquid detergent. It’s awesome!
So, I bought this throw, put it on the ottoman and then waited for the cat to pee on it eventually. She didn’t disappoint me. She peed on it and THIS COVER DID WHAT IT SAYS IT WILL DO. It is absolutely waterproof. Nothing went through it and the tight-fitting cover beneath was NOT wet and did NOT have any smell on it. I WAS THRILLED! FINALLY, SOMETHING THAT IS TRUE TO IT’S WORD!!!!!
But here was my problem⦠because the urine didn’t leak through, it sat on top of the cover so when my cat peed on it in one of the corners of the ottoman, it ran down the side of it and onto the floor. So, this cover won’t be good for the ottoman, but I still truly recommend this product, because it does work! I had not taken into consideration that the urine would sit on top of the cover. Had the urine not run down the side and onto the floor, my dog would have jumped up on ottoman eventually to lay on it and look out the window and could have laid in the urine. Not everyone is dealing with the cat pee situation and will be using it for normal circumstances, so this really could work well for you.
I love the material and how it looks so clean and neat. I will still be using this cover on a small couch that is designated “the dog’s couch” which I keep covered at all times. I don’t want “the wet spot” from him licking his paws, etc., or any hair and possible doggy smell going directly on the couch. This way, I can wash and dry the throw, put it back on the couch and everything stays smelling great. By the way, this washes and dry’s really well and quickly.
If youâre looking for a cover something so regular spills donât soak into your couch, bed or whatever, this cover is PERFECT. If itâs to cover a piece of furniture that your cat likes to pee on, then it might not be for you because of the urine sitting on top of the throw. All in all, itâs a great product and I’m going to buy another one to have on hand.

Perfect for getting busy.
Very light and thin so it is easy to store untl needed. It protects bedsheets as intended. More affordable than those marketed specifically for use when getting busy. Exactly what I was looking for.

Best! Cleans and dries well
Iâve bought other waterproof blankets, but this is the one you want! First, itâs soft, cool, and comfortable. There is no crinkle sound the way others have. Second, it washes and dries well. It doesnât become so saturated by the washer that it takes forever to dry. It dries in the dryer well without issue. Finally, its waterproof performance was out to rigorous testing multiple times without failure. Best of all, you can spot dry and reuse if needed.

This is NOT “waterproof”…
We have used this for about a year on our bed. We have multiple dogs who like to lay on the bed during the day, and bought this to keep our bedding protected. It does look nice on, and has been easy to clean.
HOWEVER, recently (for the first time since we’ve had it) one of our dogs had an accident while sleeping on it (right in the middle). It was not wet for very long when discovered, but it soaked directly through this cover and into our bedding (including an expensive king size weighted blanket, which was specifically what it was bought to protect). It wasn’t just a little that leaked through. This cover didn’t appear to hamper the liquid at all.
It’s possible that washing it over time may have affected its waterproofing, but there was no indication of that on the item or the marketing. It’s listed as “Waterproof”, not “Water Resistant”.
We are quite disappointed, and will be looking for an alternative cover now that IS waterproof.

I have a new 10 week old puppy. I got this to protect the couch from nails and shedding. Itâs still comfortable to sit on, looks nice in the house, and washed well when it arrived. She hasnât peed on the couch at all, but the material looks like it would resist it.
