The Tang from my childhood
I’m so glad I took a chance on this gigantic package! (Although I actually had to repackage it, the lid was all scuffed up and was not airtight so watch out for that..)I don’t know if they’ve changed the ingredients in Tang over the last 50 years or not, but I do know that I cannot tolerate pure fructose these days, so I’ve been sadly missing it. This is a perfect substitute for me. Tastes like my memories! ð

5 pounds of flavored powder. I bought this in lieu of Tang as I figured the long shelf life and long term storage container suits me better for prepping than a basic store shelf purchase. I dont normally drink stuff like this. I bought it for a few reasons.1. I love water, and drink a lot of it. It is my drink of choice. But if an emergency/shtf/etc scenario happened and the taste of water was impacted, then having something to add to the water to make it palatable would be of great benefit to keep on hand. I have other powders and such tucked away, but I figured to add in an emergency storage item.2. Vitamin C. If food items were scarce, especially fresh foods, then it would be easy to deplete vitamin C stores. We dont need much but we do need it. I have fruit and vegetable powders, I have vitamins, but this is just another option. Good to have redundancy. Stress will further deplete vitamin C, so it is something to think about.3. Calories and sugar. So quick energy. 9,240 calories in this container. For the price, I thought it made a good addition to long term storage suppliesYeh so the ingredients aren’t amazing. Personally, I dont care. I dont drink this on a daily basis, and if used in a more dire situation the last thing I care about is the ingredient list. Can it provide energy? That’s all I want. In this case it also adds much needed vitamin C per serving.The container looks good, no issues. Even if dented it would be fine. There is nothing to go bad here and a dent doesnt mean a breach. If it were a can of tomato sauce I would be more concerned. But nearly anything freeze dried or in powder form? No biggie. Definitely not orange powder drink. All good.Maybe I will buy more over time. Maybe I will add it to a subscribe and save order for even better value.

If you want a good substitute for fresh orange juice or if you want a stronger concentrated juice for baking or just a little acidity forv extracting healthy supplements for better health this will do the trick. Good stuff if you need orange juice and don’t want to keep it in the refrigerator. Should last a long time if you keep it dry and stored properly.

It also contains polypropylene glycol, which is in Coca~Cola.A little goes a long way towards reducing flavor fatigue.My can arrived dented, like several others I have received when ordering through Amazon. This is not the first time this has happened, and the can of cheese powder I ordered with it, which came in the same box, was perfectly fine.Overall, this is a decent product for the money, and long term food storage packaging. It is worth buying a can and experimenting with different recipes.

This orange juice is fantastic. Taste great. Makes 6 gallons per can that is $2.86/gallon. 2 Cups mix per gallon. Much lower than $7.49/Gallon at membership warehouse. Highly recommend. You’ll be glad you did.
