The best purchase I made, still able to keep her on her diet
I am always hesitant to buy anything that makes any kind of subtle noise with our lovable kitty. This self feeder is EASY, CAT FRIENDLY, Clean, it is easy to assemble with smart directions, this has truly improved so many things for us and our kitty.The sound it makes it a small â beepâ for those that have a skittish furrball but it is just enough to endearingly watch them leap lol.My cat easy transitioned and conditioned herself ( she has not fully trusted it yet ) but she surly knows when itâs 6pm and sits right beside the machine.It has a button on the front to lock the dispenser for smart suckers that would try to swat for more.I love the wifi and phone control, it lets me see it worked and depended, what day and time.You are able to control the time, multi times, and the amount you want to come out per time of feeding.My cat is on a diet and I am still able to keep her on the amount needed.It takes D batteries and the batteries are only backup for if power goes out, it has a cord for the wall.Con: Figuring out the portions, and how much if your cat has specific due to diet or health. However it is manageable. You have to figure it out based on the numbers they give you. It isnât that bad.No regrets, and not woken up in the morning anymore!!

This is very easy to set up and very easy to clean the stainless steel bowl is perfect and the way itâs tilted it prevents whisker fatigue. It beeps letting her know itâs time to eat and you can set it up for any schedule.

This IMIPAW automatic feeder comes with a big tank that holds 3 liters of pet food. I got it for my dogs to use because I had to travel somewhere for a couple of days, and everything was fine. The only issue with me is that I thought automatic meant the machine could connect to wifi so I could control the portion and time to feed my boys while I was gone. Unfortunately, this product doesn’t give you a Wi-Fi access function which was a bit disappointing. While setting up the machine, I had to read the menu very carefully because setting up the feeding time takes some patience. If you are an old-school style and want to have your first automatic feeder, this could be the one!

Will get the job done
If you do not care about looks or features and you do not have an aggressively food motivated pet then this will work for you. I used this for my cats with medium sized Purina One kibble. I like that there are four feeding times so you can set it to feed in the middle of the night to help with the “help me I’m starving” attitude cats can get. The food storage part was large and could probably go a week or two or even more before needing refilling. For me that was where the good things ended and the could be better things started.For clarity I do have auto feeders from other brands since I have three house cats and a revolving door of fosters. This one I like the least. 1. The lid to the food area is not as secure as it could be both in keeping the food fresh and keeping the cats out. My cat was able to get it open overnight two nights in a row but he is very highly food motivated and the only containers he has not been able to breach are the airtight ones or ones with an actual lock. Setting it is not hard after the initial learning curve which for me took a few more minutes than I planned since the display is tiny and lit but not back lit so it is hard to see and not enough distinct buttons compared to what I am used to.The portion sizes are small. I found that 2 portions gave about 1/8 cup or about half of a 1/4 cup measuring cup. 1 portion is so small even the cats looked perplexed. I also did not like the included bowl as unless I missed something does not really secure to the machine so when moving the machine they are not connected like others I have. One problem I have with all my auto feeders is that the included bowl is plastic which can cause or make chin acne worse and that the bowls are flat to the ground when elevated bowls help digestion. I am also afraid to set this on something elevated since my cat already knocks into it to open it.Overall I think if you start your small cat out with this or your cat just is not bothered to care about the machine and your vision is halfway decent then this will work for you.

Great product, but my cat did not approve…
So, my cat is a rescue, and he has some pretty severe food anxiety. I don’t blame this product for that, but I will state that having regularly scheduled, carefully measured servings of food did not mesh well with his anxiety at all. I was only able to use this product for about two weeks before I decided it was best for my buddy if I went back to how I was feeding him before. For a cat that does not have food anxiety though, this product should be great!
