Great marinade
Bought a very small bottle at the grocery store and loved it so we bought this larger bottle. It is perfect on grilled salmon and we just tried chicken. I use it as BBQ sauce on chicken after we grill/ itâs thick and has a great not too sweet taste with just a little kick

Tasty!
No crappy ingredients like corn syrup, I’ve mixed it with some fried rice as a replacement for soy sauce as well as used it as a dipping sauce. Would buy again.

Taste was different
I had never tried this product before so did not know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised to find the taste on both good. Neither tasted of BBQ, which I thought was odd, hence the name, but regardless I still like the product. The original does not have as much flavor as the Miso which I like better.

DEE-licious!
Let’s face it–a good barbecue sauce is the Swiss Army knife of condiments. More interesting than ketchup, more versatile than mustard, and doesn’t have the “ick” aversion factor that many hold for mayonnaise. It can be sweet, smokey, spicy, mild, or really whatever you want. But there are a lot of BBQ sauces from which to choose. I happened to read an article comparing 10 different kinds of sauces and Bachan’s was in the photo accompanying the story. I love BBQ sauce and have tried all different kinds but had never seen Bachan’s before. I know–where have I been? So I hopped online and got this two pack and man, am I glad that I did. Bachan’s BBQ is awesome! In fairness, I’ve only tried the hot & spicy one so far, but it’s great. Not overwhelmingly hot; just enough to give a little bit of warm feeling in your mouth. The flavor is really nice; soy sauce-based, good rich umami flavor. I’ve put it on everything from eggs to burgers to macaroni & cheese to ramen; even thrown a touch on pizza. Love it across the board. Enhances without being overpowering (as long as you don’t flood the food with half of the bottle!). I can’t wait to try the original flavor, but I already consider this purchase to be a success regardless. Buy it; try it; it’s worth it!
Did my research –
Nice replacement for discontinued Yoshidaâs
Based on othersâ reviews, I tried this sauce when Yoshidaâs original teriyaki marinade/cooking sauce was discontinued. I have many recipes from Yoshidaâs cooking show that require his sauce, so I had to find something to replace it. This is pretty close in flavor and consistency. The only major difference is the tomato paste that wasnât present in Yoshidaâs, which makes very little difference in the taste. While sweet like teriyaki , itâs also too salty for me, making it a bit overpowering used âstraightâ as a stir fry. I tried baking a salmon with the sauce brushed over it, and that was great. Mostly, Iâll continue to use it in recipes that only call for a few tablespoons among other ingredients to tone down the saltiness.

This stuff is gold
I recently tried a Japanese Barbecue sauce, and it was fantastic. It’s similar to teriyaki sauce but with a bit more zing and depth of flavor. I used it to recreate a chicken and rice dish that my sister made, and according to my husband, mine turned out even better! The sauce also worked wonders as a marinade for tuna steaks. I’ve already used almost a whole bottle and can’t wait to try it in other recipes. I highly recommend giving it a try!

These sauces are great!
I have been using Bachan’s sauces for some time now. They don’t disappoint or spoil your food with bad flavors
