Delicious healthy GF pasta alternative
Pressure cooks GREAT in the Instant Pot with garlic and EVOO. Sprinkle w cheese on the plate. Wow SO easy. When I do marinara, the starch infuses with the authentic Italian San Marzano canned tomatoes , roasted bulb of garlic, Basil and grated Parmesan? We think we are in Italy and neighbors want to know what’s cooking . Very filling and recipes are on the net. Also, makes excellent Coconut Chicken Curry —Spaghetti is our favorite because it holds its shape even with leftovers. Never clumps if you break it up into two or three sections with enough water to cover + EVOO.

It’s the best red lentil pasta I’ve found
Unlike other brands of red lentil pasta that break down with normal cooking, these are much more robust. Unless I’m getting it for free or close to it, I won’t buy any other brand. And I’m not usually one to sniff my nose at store-brands or off-label products.They do need more cooking than wheat-based pastas, and it’s best to eat it immediately (no pasta salads should be made with this, ever. Please take my word.) But considering the health benefits and the positive texture and flavor, I almost prefer this to regular pasta. The price is much higher, but when you NEED a bowl of penne and it’s not allowed, this might alleviate the cravings.

Blends perfectly with any sauce
Texture is not as robust as wheat pasta but it tastes good & blends perfectly with any sauce. I don’t go into a ‘food coma” after eating this type of pasta-which is a big plus.

Barilla is our favorite brand of pasta because not all pastas are created equal. I’ve tried saving a few pennies by opting for cheaper brands, but the superior quality of Barilla for just $0.50 more is absolutely worth it.

Best GF Pasta
I’ve tried a variety of grain and bean based pasta and thus far this has been the tastiest.The flavor pairs well with many dishes like Chicken Marsala, Pasta Ala Vodka, and Spaghetti and Meatballs among many others. These noodles like most noodles do give off a slight aroma that I personally love.I feel these noodles are versatile due to how evenly they cook. Unlike wheat, corn, or rice noodles where you are cooking until the noodle has a bit of a bite left, with these noodles with how evenly they cook you can adjust the cook time more generously to how much or little firmness you want in your noodle. I found that these noodles hold up pretty well compared to many other non-gluten based noodles. Just note that you do want to handle these noodles with dry hands as wet hands will cause them to clump together and create a chore for you.The texture of these noodles is fantastic. If you cook them to Al Dente (the same bite as you’d get out of wheat noodles), they have a very pleasing feedback on the teeth similar to that of wheat noodles. They aren’t as elastic compared to wheat noodles due to the lack of gluten so they do breakdown quicker but at that point it is not a negative but a positive as they require less chewing overall. Getting a satisfying bite while being easier to process is a win-win in my book.The nutrition of these noodles is also a huge plus. Being only a single ingredient noodle packed with protein and carbs should help people meet their daily nutritional requirements. Being certified GF and using a dedicated facility means that quality is taken seriously. Even if you don’t have an allergy, you know that the lines these products are produced on are cleaned and tested properly.

Great Source of Fiber and Protein
Normally, a box of these run for about $6 at my local grocery store, so this is a great value if you don’t mind stocking up. It’s a nice alternative to regular pasta, and I like how both me and even my dog can enjoy it and reap the nutritional benefits. Highly recommended to pair it with Hoosier Farms macaroni and cheese powder.
