Convenient and Delicious and long lasting in the pantry!!
These Landjeger German-style smoked sausages have become a staple in my kitchen. I use them as ready to go pizza toppings that I donât have to worry about keeping fresh. They stay in the pantry, and when I need them, I just slice them up -they taste just like thick-cut pepperoni when cooked! Theyâre also perfect for charcuterie boards and make a great snack. Overall, I love these, and theyâre always stocked in my house! Don’t hesitate, buy these!!

Bavarian Meats Lil’ Landjaeger
Bavarian Meats Lil’ Landjaeger German Style Smoked Sausage Snack Sticks are ideal for those that love snacks but can’t have the added sugar that is in other sausage snack. Just be careful to make sure you get the zero sugar version if controlling sugar intake. These are very tasty.

Too Tastey
Best tasting & texture of any meat snack I have tried, and I have tried quite a few.

Decided I like the bigger ones better, a bit too soft and similar to cocktail sausage.
My first try with Bavarian Meats was from the convenience store, it was the larger two pieces that come in a pouch, not bad. Thought I’d try these smaller ones as they seemed like a better deal to help satisfy the old meat snack cravings…PROS: No cut ends, like the twist sealed ends. Decent quantity.CONS: Too soft, tastes like a cocktail sausage. Size matters, doesn’t taste the same as the larger version.I’m a huge fan of dry jerky and dry crisp snappy pepperoni sticks, which are seemingly harder and harder to find with good flavor. What’s with everyone going toward soft wet floppy meat snacks? Are we losing too many teeth to dentures too fast?! I do miss the days of dry dusty meats that make you feel like you’re in an old western movie. If I wanted soft wet sausage I’d just buy a smoked summer sausage roll. These hot & spicy Lil’ Landjaeger are very similar tasting to Oberto cocktail sausage, also a near identical soft texture. Not a fan. Sure, I’ll eat em, but I have to remind myself to stop buying them because there’s better, the soft cocktail meats almost have a vinegar-like after taste to them. The whole unhealthy MSG myth is really irrelevant to ingredients as it’s just fermented sugars, occurs naturally in most foods and is a pretty good flavor enhancement to meats and veggies. To make these meaty snacks a little better I actually dry them out. Dumped the whole bag onto a paper towel and air dried for two days to make them a bit crisper on the outside and a little less moist on the inside. I’ve been doing this with smoked jerky and other meat sticks for years when they are too soft. It does help, same flavor, but not as soft and gives them a nice crisp! Probably won’t buy these again, unless they are the fatter thick version.
