I have an orange cat (read crazy, furry ball of energy) who loves to lounge on the couch and leave huge piles of fur on them. We recently pirchasenew leather couches and were afraid that she would accidentally scratch them getting on and off. I came across these blankets on Amazon and thought I’d try it. They are think, heavy duty blankets that are sold on one side and non slip on the other so they stay in place when you put them on. The color and quality of material make them look decent (as well as throw blankets on a couch can look). So far other than a quick vacuum and a lint roller I haven’t had to do any serious cleaning of them.I highly recommend.

I own 5 long hair dogs and my comforter was getting really hairy and dirty so I bought this to cover my bed. Works very well for water proofing too. My dogs like to throw up at night. This bed cover prevents stains from going thu to my white comforter.

I have not washed it yet so I can’t attest to how well it works after washing, however, I ordered this to cover my bed because my senior kitty was having accidents. The urine pooled and beaded on top of the fabric and after absorbing with a paper towel, the fabric was just slightly damp but dried immediately. I got the blanket the day before he crossed the rainbow bridge and this blanket helped my sanity over those 24 hours with not having to wash bedding constantly. Highly recommend.

Maybe best for small dogs
I have two large (50+ lbs) dogs and these will not stay put on the couch. They do cover the seat portion well but usually end up on the floor defeating the purpose.
