Substantial construction, dries quickly enough.
To me, these are a step-up from the “leading brand” shorts I’ve been buying for comfort, although they do not have a zippered pocket and are just a little heavier fabric so won’t dry instantly. They dry almost-instantly, so good enough for rain, sitting on a wet bench, and hiking as long as you can take an extra few minutes to dry so you won’t have all the problems resulting from walking wet (I am expecting the “leading brand” to excel here but don’t know yet).The front pockets (hands and cargo) are a little larger – enough for easy micro EDC access in a sticky (like a P365) although it can shift to lie sideways. I feel like the fabric is more reliable, too, but time will tell since these are not a mesh and there’s a seam on the bottom with a drain-hole and a silky fabric against your skin.There’s no stretch to the fabric but the waist band seems more giving… again, it may fail leaving these much looser than the “leading brand” which seems to have about half of the stretch (I can’t tell since mine have broken down long ago).The cargo pocket velcro is a bit too substantial – you’ll need two hands at first to separate the flap. I’d prefer at least one zipper like the “leading brand” usually has.So, overall I prefer these so far to the “leading brand” because of comfort, the more substantial material, and pocket size. I can live with the few other differences. Whether they last as long will be questionable, but I can actually see through my years-old daily-wear “leading brand” shorts so not sure if that really matters.

Favorite shorts
Let me start by saying that I bought a pair a year ago, and I absolutely loved them. I knew what I was buying and hoped that they hadnt changed anything with these shorts. Before vacation to Lake Havasu this year for Desert Storm, I decided to buy a couple more pair. I got the same khaki color and a glacier color which I wish I bought more of.The shorts are the perfect length and fit. They are definitely high quality throughout. The stitching is solid and reinforced in strategic areas. I haven’t tried the blood resistance yet but will take them fishing soon here in Ohio. I will definitely be testing that claim but I have no doubt that they will deliver on their promise. These look great with a dress shirt, tshirt, or no shirt at all! The only thing I found is that they do run a tad small in the waist. I ordered 36 inch waist which are perfect for me-a 34″ waist. Well maybe 35″.My wife loves these shorts and hopefully will buy me a couple Glacier colored pair for my birthday.Give them a try. You won’t be disappointed. I am 5’11” and 205 lbs. My leg are a little shorter as I have a longer torso so I don’t like shorts hanging below my knees. These end just above my kneecap. If you have long legs, they will be a little higher but wont, by any means, be short shorts.

Very comfortable
I previously purchased a pair of these and decided to get a second pair. Well made, comfortable and very quick drying material make these perfect for my morning speedwalking workout, yardwork, or just hanging out on the weekend. The belt loops are snug for a full width leather belt, but with a little work the loops will allow even a thick belt to pass through. I plan on getting another pair to replace other shorts as they wear out.Purchased my third pair on Amazon from Ramsey Outdoor. Imagine my surprise to receive a price tagged item, apparently from the retail store. Interestingly, the price on the tag was $5.01 less than the price I paid. No shipping or handling charge on the invoice, so I guess brick and mortar shoppers get the discount, but online customers do not. I’m keeping them because they’re what I ordered, but I feel the retailer needs to be more candid on their product descriptions and pricing.

I bought these for my boyfriend and he loves them because they are comfortable and have a lot of pockets. They are lightweight and go with everything. They also fit just right.

These are advertised with âBloodGuard Technologyâ
I thought BloodGuard Technology was just a made-up advertising term. IT. IS. NOT!Every single stain Iâve ever achieved has washed out. Even blood and engine grease stains.If it looks questionable, I hit it with the pre-wash stain stick. And it comes right out in a normal,cold water cycle. Even stains that werenât pre-treated and run through the dryer. I hit them with thepre-treatment and run them again. Poof! Stains gone. It says âhand wash onlyâ nobody has time for that.Just toss âem in.These also come with water drains in the pockets. Great idea, but I end up dropping bbâs and Lipitorall over the house for the dog to find. 5 minutes to sew the small holes shut.Iâve been wearing them for years. Runs almost perfectly to size.Edit:I just stained these with super rusty water, and didnât wash them for a week. I gave them some Shout spray and they cleaned up perfectly.

large pockets secured by flaps and Velcro, fast drying light material, practically stain proof comfortable silky feel, durable almost wrinkle free even in packing what else could you want?

Great hot weather shorts.
Light, soft, cotton-like nylon fabric that feels good, dries very quickly, and sheds dirt. I liked the top quality heavy duty fly zipper (maybe an odd thing to notice, but it always amazed me how many “designer” brand shorts at twice this cost have cheap low quality zippers). Properly cut for excellent fit. If I had any suggestion at all for improvement it would be ditch the Velcro patches from the pocket flaps, a long time personal beef of mine. But in their defense, these are advertised as beach/fishing shorts. Oh, and making one of the front overlay pockets the size of a cell phone would have been nice, a la Wrangler’s “Tech Pocket” shorts.
