I’ve been using them for about 2 weeks – so although I can’t attest to its longevity yet, I can attest to that they really work!! I like fruits and veggies – but I don’t like to eat them every day. As a single person, inevitably, most go bad before I have time to finish them. I heard about this product on a video and thought, what can I lose? I tried them first on my most favorite: bananas. I put the bananas in a covered bowl and put the little ‘apple’ inside. I was actually able to eat the entire bunch – without having to eat one or two every day! Minimal brown spots on the last one and none on under the peel. I was impressed. Then I tried it in the crisper with fresh vegetables: string beans in this case. After a week, I went for a second serving in the bag. They still were crispy and had a great snap. I was sold! Great investment! Super easy to use; you get two apples and two packets – just put a packet in each apple and snap it shut. I did read in the instructions that you shouldn’t leave the ‘apples’ out in the open, so don’t forget to keep the sealable bag that they came in so you can store them to keep them active when not in use.

Save Your Produce!!
I have been using the Blue Apples for years and saved hundreds of dollars. I now have six of them scattered throughout my two refrigerators. My produce lasts three times longer than usual and has saved me so much produce that I would have otherwise had to throw away. This stuff is amazing and I’ve talked so many of my friends and relatives into trying them. It works on ALL my produce including bananas, avocados, lettuce, sugar snap peas, broccoli, EVERYTHING!! It’s like magic so I can buy produce when it is on sale and it will last me more than a week. I highly recommend.

Not very effective
They don’t seem to be making much of a difference at all compared to the drawers where they aren’t placed. I’m glad I didn’t order more or order refills! There are so many free “hacks” on how to preserve each type of vegetable that I’d really recommend them along with the cheap green foam-like liner for your produce. I’ve found the best difference in preserving lettuce & other produce is by using plastic containers with a small slitted bottom (that allows water to drip) and holes for air to escape. Those work great.

Effective product!
Strawberries & blueberries still look fresh a week after being in the refrigerator with these in the bin. I’ve been using them for years and will continue to do so. A REAL MONEY-SAVER for fresh produce!

I never had good results with fruit preservation. I thought it was just a gimmick. So now you tellthis blue apple will do the trick. I never could prolong the life of a banana. You know blue applesand yellow bananas never got along. It must be the color of their skin. Was i surprised there wereno spots on the inside after more than a week. I also started to wrap each banana with Saran Wrap.So was it the blue apple or the Saran Wrap. I believe with either one the results were enhanced.The moral of the story its not the color of the skin but the result.
