Most expensive dog food, but works well
Our golden retriever has been eating this Blue Wilderness Chicken formula for most of her 8 yrs. First puppy then adult variety. Cost is one of the highest for the dry chicken variety of dog food. However, either we are very lucky or the dog food is the reason our dog is extremely healthy, and never has any intestinal issues, or problems with stools. Our vet says âif itâs not broke donât fix itâ and agrees the dog food is working well. We did try a couple bags of the Kirkland equivalent due to extreme price differences, but noticed a little more gas from the dog, and some skin irritations causing her to lick her paws. R was turned to the Blue Wilderness and things improved greatly. Hate the excessive cost but I believe it offsets potential excess vet bills or Rx costs. Highly recommended.

Successful replacement dog food
Our dog’s regular dog food suddenly either became very difficult to find or got pricier. We were still using Blue Buffalo before so we trusted this would be a good switch.Using Amazon Subscribe and Save we get the 4.5lb size bag of food every 3 months. She eats 2 cups twice a day for 90 days with the size of this bag of food. She loves it just as much as her last one, if not more.But, be aware if your dog has any issues switching foods or doesn’t like the taste of fish (go for a different version of the same brand). This is not an organic dog food entirely but also doesn’t just have any by-products, artificial flavors, and/or preservatives.Ellie does not have any issues transitioning to new dog food and loves the taste of Salmon. It keeps her full and her weight regular which her Vet is always very impressed by. With the high protein and fish omega-3 fatty acids it keeps her 8-year-old sheepdog energy healthy and happy.

This is not a bargain food choice for your pet, but despite it being kibble, my dog can tell the quality of the food from the taste. He eats these kibble bits like they are treats, and we use them for behavior incentive without feeling guilty that we are giving him something that will make him unhealthy.
