Handy, simple solution to protecting your car’s trunk from bike rack scratches
Handy product!! These protectors are working great to keep my car in good shape. I have had these a week, and there is no doubt the paint on my car is not going to be harmed when using my trunk rack. The material looks like it will hold up well, and I think this is a simple solution to keeping the scratches off my car’s trunk.The first time you install the pads, take it slow, and carefully when installing on the pieces of your rack. Also, FYI, the pads stay with the rack parts when you take it off, so you don’t need to keep track of separate pieces.

Overpriced but work great
I think they are very overpriced and i could have probably come up with something similar myself. but work great. I have a new car and was worried about the paint getting scratched from my bike rack.They work but you could probably accomplosih 5he same thing for a lot less by just putting electrical tape over the hooks

Excellent product. This is the solution for using a trunk rack. These things are easy to install, they stay put, they are the right sizeâ¦, you get the point, someone has put thought into it.Of course, they canât do miracles, you still need to set up the rack carefully and the same goes for hanging and tying the bikes properly, so you donât mess up your car.Forget DIY options to protect your trunk lid, I checked. You can only save a few bucks (materials arenât free after all) and you end up with something that looks crummy or doesnât do the job or doesnât last.Happy customer here

Easy to use, and has worked perfectly at protecting my SUV. Iâm pretty picky about my vehicle and this took care of any potential scratches. The product is larger than any clamps I have used which makes them perfect to use with any rack!

A must have for trunk mount racks
I just put these on my trunk mount bike rack and they are awesome! I had put foam tape on the inside of the metal attachment clips to keep them from scratching the car and the tape did just that. But the thickness of the tape kept the top of the trunk clips from sliding completely underneath the trunk. These protectors will give more than enough scratch protection and they allow the clips to slid completely into the trunk gaps as they were intended to be. My bike rack has never felt more secure!

Does what it’s meant to do
Used this on our bike rack straps attached to our cars rear hatch. We travelled for about 20 hours round trip using these covers and afterwards, I haven’t noticed any scratches as a result of the clamps on our hatch.
