Works well!
I own another fur collector of this type and am quite pleased with it so I got another one for a friend. The way these work is that there are a bunch of little grooves on a short metal bar that “grab” hair and fur when gently scraped against the object in question. The grooves aren’t sharp; you can run a finger along them safely, but they snag and clutch onto fur very effectively. The scraper won’t damage your furniture as long as you don’t scrub hard with it (be more careful with furniture that has ridges / raised cloth elements) and it helps to run it across the surface in multiple directions rather than just over and over in the same one direction. Overall the scraper is lightweight, easy to handle and does its job well. Run it across carpet or something like a cat tree and watch the fur pile up.

Works pretty well, but does snag
I wanted something to use primarily for my rabbit’s playpen. She’s shedding and even with regular brushing her fur still sticks to the rug. The rug we have for her is flat, so this captured her hair pretty easily. There was one section it did catch on, but because of the way the rug is, you can’t really see it but I felt when it was happening. I used this also on her soft towel that’s also picture and it didn’t catch or snag on that at all. I haven’t tried this on my couch or car because we also have a dog, but I’ll report back if there are issues.I think this works well in general, but just be careful of what you use it on and test it if possible first.

Great tool
I have 3 cats and even though I brush and slick them regularly, unfortunately cat hair is still unavoidable. This has been a wonderful tool in keep my furniture free from cat hair without running the risk of damaging the fabric. Because of its size and shape, it is able to get in places that wouldnât be possible without using a vacuum attachment. Depending on how much hair you have to remove, 2-4 swipes will get the job done. I actually purchased another one that I keep in my purse to give my clothes a quick once over before leaving the house. If youâre a dog or cat owner, you need to have this in your cleaning kit.

WOW!
This is not a pet hair remover, it is a Magic Wand! I thought I did a pretty good job keeping up with the contant barrage of shed fur my babies leave all over the place. Boy was I wrong. One stoke across the base of one of their clawing posts and I was shocked to see how much invisible fur there was on there. The same goes for spots on the carpet where they like to lounge regularly.The head of this device is flat with these ridged edges that almost feel like a tight spring attached to either side. The handle is contoured to fit nicely in the palm so it is comfortable to use. It comes with a manual showing what you can and can’t use it on, how to use it, and tips for use. Overall, this is a great find!

It snags
I wanted to love it and it has potential, but it snags. I used it on my upholstered couch and while it did gather cat hair, the metal is rough and it snagged the fabric a little. It works better on carpet but I had to be really careful not to snag. Itâs not worth the risk of damage so I wonât be using it.

Effective, but use with caution
I’ve heard great things about this pet hair remover. And yes, it does work great, but only on some surfaces. When it arrived the instructions enclosed had many criteria for what surfaces to use this on and what to avoid. Unfortunately the “avoid” list is the majority of what I want to remove pet hair from. Yes, it work great on shaggy carpet, but so does a vacuum. You have to be careful on fabric, especially if there are seams. This tool will catch and tear a seam with very little effort. It can do more damage than good, so be careful. But when it works, it works great. I’ve used it to get hair off things the vacuum can’t. You just need to go slow and carefully. It can take awhile, but the results are worth it.
