Fraidy Cat Is Afraid
My stepcat has been suffering from constipation, so I bought this fountain to encourage him to drink more water. He always wanted to drink from the toilet or from the tub spout, which is unacceptable to me. (His bachelor dad let him do those things before we became a blended family.) I thought our boy would like the fountain because its spout is similar to our tub spout. BINGO!!! As soon as I got the fountain in place, the boy started drinking from it immediately. He drank and drank. Poop problem solved! HOWEVER⦠when our little princess kitty passed by the fountain, on the way to eat, she did a double take. (She wasnât nearby when I installed the fountain, so she didnât know it was there.) She timidly walked up to the fountain, focusing on the bright blue light that shines through the water level indicator window; she put her nose on the light, her pupils grew huge, and then she ran to hide under the bed. I turned the window to the back of the bowl, thinking that would solve the problem. The next time she went for food she approached the fountain like she might like to get to know it, but then she saw the blue light shining through the slot where the water returns from the drinking pan to the bowl. Back under the bed she went. Now when she wants to eat she carefully makes sure to walk as far away from the fountain as possible. (And of course, our little princess has to have her own ânon-threateningâ bowl of water.). It has been a month and sheâs showing no signs of making peace with that blue light.I know our precious girl canât be the only pet who is afraid of that âmonstrousâ blue light. I get that the designer probably thought that the light would help pet parents see the water level easier, but I think we would be able to manage without it. You would think the designer would have anticipated that some pets wouldnât like the light, and that the person would have provided a way to turn off the light. They could have even offered a model that didnât have a light. Thatâs why Iâm taking a star from my rating. When you develop a product that scares the population youâre trying to serve you donât deserve a 5 star rating. I would have returned the fountain if our boy wasnât enjoying, and benefiting from, it.I personally love the fountain. I love, love, love that the pump comes out of the fountain, instead of being permanently attached to it, so I can give the bowl a thorough cleaning. The fountain is so easy to take apart, clean, and reassemble. It is also very quiet. Upon inspection during cleaning, I found that the filters did a good job of filtering hair and food debris.Since Iâve only had the fountain a little over a month I canât speak to its durability. It appears to be well made, but I will update if anything changes.Pros: Our boy now drinks enough that he no longer gets constipated, and he no longer attempts to drink out of the toilet or the tub spout. The fountain works well, and it is easy to manage.Cons: The monstrous blue light continues to threaten our little princess kitty. (I would wish the light to stop working, but that would probably mean the pump would stop working, too)

I’ve tried a couple fountains for my cat so far and some have worked well but this one definitely takes the cake.Pros:- The water is filtered from the top dish (where the cat drinks out of) directly into the reservoir, meaning that I don’t have to worry about fur being passed down into the pump- Large amount of water without having a huge profile- REPLACABLE PARTS!! this is the first fountain I found where you can replace the filters, sponges and buy a new pump- Little window to see the water level- Faucet is removable for better cleaning- Plenty of space if your cat prefers to drink from the dish rather than the faucetCons:- Not totally silent, there is a sound of water pouring but it’s still pretty quiet, you can’t hear it if you’re talking or in another room- the lid is a little tricky to remove when you want to clean/fill up the waterOverall I would buy this again

Durch das beleuchtete Bullauge sieht auch ganz einfach, wann man wieder nachfüllen muss.Wir verwenden gefiltertes Wasser.Kann ich uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Los primeros dÃas no le hicieron mucho caso, pero ahora beben mas de lo que bebÃan con el cuenco de agua normal, por lo cual para ellos es mejor.Esta bien porque con ir controlando que no se queden sin agua, no hay que estar cambiándola a diario y caben cerca de 3,2 litros, que son unos 8/10 dÃas depende de lo que beba y cuantos gatos haya, es mas difÃcil que la vuelquen y se limpia muy bien, también lleva una ventana para controlar cuanta agua queda, y se ilumina por lo cual hasta con poca luz se ve bien el nivel.Todo bien.

I bought this fountain to upgrade from my old plastic fountain. I can genuinely say Iâm impressed!The fountain is super silent (honestly the video picks up more noise than in real life). One of my cats was instantly attracted to the fountain, which I think is mainly due to the showing the running water.All the pieces come apart for easy cleaning, which gives me peace of mind knowing that I can get to all the nooks and crannies. Once everything is cleaned, the pieces are simple to put back together, everything clicks into place really easily.Looks wise, this fountain looks modern and sleek. There is a blue light in the pump that illuminates the inside of the fountain, not only making it easier for my cats to know where the fountain is at night, but also allowing for easy viewing of the water level.The fountain has a massive capacity, so less need to refill it which is great if you lead a busy life. The top also hold a bit of water so no need to worry about power cuts whilst out and about, as emergency water will always be available.I can only think of one negative to this fountain, and that is that the part that holds the filter is a little bit tricky to open especially with wet hands, but Iâd rather the filter be secure in place than the fastening to be loose.I am excited to see how well this fountain performs, as the quality is honestly amazing for the price!
