the cones work well , but they only last about 20mins. you have to keep lighting new cones if you are out on the patio for an hour or two. that becomes a hassle. the cone is a little tough to light. it takes awhile to catch fire and continuously burn. the smell is like incense and seems to keep the bugs away for a little while. i probably wont by again. the sticks work much better. than the cones.

I am the perfect cliché example of someone who should have trusted the negative reviews. I tend to enjoy finding out through my own experience so i got them. Well, I am literally surrounded by 6 of these, all lit at both ends and “smoking”, and I could hear the mosquitos laughing as they bzzzzzd through the barrier and assaulted me. I got bit in the face… I’ve literally never gotten bit in the face. So no, these don’t do much. I’ve recently gotten bit by more mosquitos while having these lit around me since I bought them a month ago, and I grew up in Florida where mosquitos rule the streets. So if I still have your attention, don’t buy these. They. Do. Not. Work.

Much smaller and so they produce much less incense smoke than what Iâm used to.Thicker coils are just the right amount one at a time.These I have to use 2-3 coils at once.So these end up much more expensive.

Citronella works well to repel mosquitos
This box will last a very long time. I like the fact I can light one stick and get mosquito protection for the entire time I’m outside. The smell is not overpowering and is very effective.

Long lasting; stops mosquitos
My cat lives on the back patio at night and the mosquitos always bothered him. I would light one just before dark, and the cat would stay in the vicinity for the four or five hours it was burning. Right now, mosquito season is over here, but I will be using them again. However, they need a wider stand, as they turn over too easily. My husband glued them to a 2″x3″ piece of wood.Bettie
