Its not a military grade piece but a pretty close copy. Doesnt have all the bells and whistles but maybe half the radioactivity though….. Good teaching tool or for emergency or occassional use. Not something that will ruin your day if it gets lost in the field or is the victim of sticky finger syndrome, but seems to work ok for a ten dollar tool.

I got this for my stepson for Christmas. Heâs moderately interested in survival and bushcraft. I knew he didnât have one. Looked for one with high reviews and decided on this. Itâs heavy and has some really cool features that neither I nor my husband have seen. However, the bezel is super lose. I wonder if you were in a situation where youâd actually need to use it, is this going to be a problem? My husband noticed right away and pointed this out to me. And ya, come to think of it I remember a bezel usually has quite a bit of resistance so that your readings are consistent as you move about. I will do a little research and see if there is a screw I can tighten somewhere and adjust this. For reference, both my husband and I are military. Iâm a supporter, and donât use my topo skills like ever, unless I was on a course or something. My husband on the other hand has 20 years, and though heâs a desk and office guy now, these skills were pretty well hammered in. Bottom line, definitely doesnât seem cheap, the simple case is a nice touch, and it has loads of nifty things like the viewing feature.
