I ordered these David’s butter pecan meltaways because they looked yummy from the pictures and I wanted to try them to see if they were good enough to send as gifts.
They hit the mark for sure.
Granted, food items that have been shipped won’t look showroom quality, so a little cookie breakage from shipping was expected. The tin was much bigger than I expected, had some weight to it (for something lightweight like cookies), and was packed with bubble wrap inside the manufacturer’s box. So they did a good job of packing it as well as possible for shipping.
Inside the tin, the cookies were shrink wrapped in a 4-part liner, so they were sealed and nothing was spilling out. There are a lot of cookies in this tin!
There was actually less breakage than I expected, which was nice. But hey, cookie pieces are great for tasting or just a tiny nibble. 😉
Everyone in the house tried them, and couldn’t stop at having just a few lol, so I’ll be surprised if they last more than a day.
The cookies are delicious. They are very light and crisp, are just the right amount of sweet, have a great overall flavor and the taste of the pecans comes through nicely but not overpowering.
I would send these as gifts to my cookie loving friends and family, for any occasion.

I used these to replace Wedding Cookies I was supposed to make for a party. A few were not whole but neither are the ones you buy in a store. I put them in a bag with powdered sugar to rejuvenate them since the powder naturally gets absorbed. Plus! I have a nice tin left over.

Omg! These cookies are absolutely sinful! The texture and freshness makes it impossible to have just a few at a time. I was going to give them as a a gift, but I tasted one and couldn’t stop eating them. The richness of the power sugar and butter as the coating just melts away to a wonderful cookie inside. I just love them… p.s. this a 3 lb container!! I will be buying more!

Very disppointed
We got a tin of these cookies for Christmas and were so impressed with the taste and quality we came to Amazon to put them on regular subscription. Much to our dismay, the last two shipments we found the quality and integrity of these cookies fell off. The cookies were in crumbles and off taste. My wife put it that she felt we were being shipped last years stale cookies. We thought it might be a fluke so we ordered on more time, and greatly disappointed that the same result- off tasted crumbled cookies. The packaging was sealed inside and out- they just didn’t taste fresh. Buyer beware.

These were quite tasty, and although about the size of a one dollar coin there lots of these cookies inside the tin. The tin itself is almost 30 centimeters across or almost 12 inches, so there is a lot of these for the buck. A great idea to get for the Christmas holidays, or when your expecting guests for a social gathering.
