De Cecco Egg Pasta is golden in color with a unique taste and texture from the addition of Fresh Cage Free Grade A Eggs.
Wheat Selection: We select only the best ‘grano duro’ (durum wheat) and extract the core, the purest part of the wheat, to retain all the nutritional value and a signature pasta with the distinctive and unique De Cecco taste and the superior cooking performance renowned among all the best Chefs in the world.
Bronze Drawplates: We shape our pasta through bronze drawplates to provide a rough surface similar to homemade pasta to better capture and retain sauce.
Low Temperature and Slow Drying: We dry our pasta slowly at low temperature to preserve both the original color and flavor of our durum semolina as well as retain all the nutritional value.
Cage Free Eggs: We use cage free eggs and we knead them with the durum wheat semolina to ensure consistency when cooking the pasta and a good share of protein.

tastes like air-dried homemade pasta
These taste like the homemade egg noodles my grandma from Italy used to make and air dry. These are flat, rectangular noodles with no ruffles or lines anywhere. They are a smaller rectangular size than the blue box lasagna noodles. I love this brand because it stays al dente and doesn’t fall apart or disintegrate if you over cook it by accident. The box states to cook them 24 minutes, with the print on the side of box stating par-boil for 4 minutes, then bake for 20 minutes. (I did not read the box when I boiled them, and only par-boiled because I was baking them after). These lasagna noodles benefit from boiling before layering them. Because they are smaller, the fit easily in a smaller pot. The texture after cooking tastes thicker and I could taste semolina vs other brands that taste more like regular flour. These remained al dente when I baked them, and tasted like an authentic Italian meal. Only suggestion, if your family is used to the ruffle noodles, maybe test these by using half ruffle noodles and half these DeCecco because the lasagna will be thinner with just the DeCecco and the texture will differ. Yum!

Made very good lasagna and didn’t require precooking
I found an Lasagna recipe for my instapot that required the type of noodle that did not need to be precooked. I could not believe how well this came out. The noodles were the perfect texture after 24 minutes of cooking in a cheesecake pan in the instapot. And the leftovers continued to have a wonderful texture of slightly al dente but thoroughly cooked. Perfect. I would use these again

product damaged
this product is damaged and cannot be returned. I cannot use this product. Packaging is opened and pasta is damaged and spilling out of the box.

Thin and tender!
I love this product, which consists of sheets of egg noodles. They are great for many-layered lasagna recipes because they are thinner than even the similar-looking no-boil types. I have never boiled them ahead of assembly but I do briefly run them under hot water. Because they are so thin you get many more noodles in a package.

De Cecco Pasta is my favorite, but I do not like this new recipe
De Cecco Pasta is my favorite, and I have always preferred to buy it over any other brand. After not being able to even find the Lasagne noodles during COVID, I waited to buy these new recipe ones and really do not like them.I think they are made so you don’t have to precook them, but I like to do so. They stuck together, were a mess and broke everywhere. So unless you want to work with uncooked noodles, these don’t work for me.
