We saw the Netflix documentary about the lady who taught her dog to speak with a ton of these and my kids went nuts. So we bought a box. I started training our puppy and she totally caught on. She learned potty and bone in a day.I will say this gets annoying fast. Really fast. It also takes time to teach your dog to use them so if you donât have patience – donât bother.My kids have more fun with them than anything.If you just want to teach your dog to use it to go potty- get the door bells that hang on the handle. Both my dogs learned with those and theyâre so easy, and once the bells are gone the dogs learn to bark to tell up they want to go out. Itâs legit the easiest way to do potty training but for other fancy tricks- these little buttons are a fun novelty.I just keep thinking that lady in the documentary must have had so much time on her hands. Like so much time. I have better things to do than teach my dog to speak. Sometimes silence is a good thing – I donât need another complainer around here.

I’m giving these 4 stars because one of them doesn’t work. I’ve wanted these for awhile. I’m glad I finally bought them. I’m not sure I would recommend this brand since one didn’t work.

Nice but one button doesnât work. Can get ahold of anyone to see what I can do. Only computerized comment choices. I donât want to return I just want another ball button.

Not very loud
These buttons arenât very loud. I cannot hear them unless I am in the same room and the house is quiet. I.e. no TV, music, chatter, etc. also, sometimes the button does not play the recording and it has to be pressed several times before it does.

I enjoyed everything about this product. I got my order on time, damage-free, and neatly packaged PLUS batteries were included. I really like that the seller made this as intuitive as possible so you are able ti immediately use (eliminates going to the store). No instructions on how to use were included; just how to set up and record messages. Recording the messages is a lot easier than what I thought. You’ll switch the back to “record,” tap once, wait for the double beep, hold on down the button and then record your phrase or saying, let the button go, switch the back to play, then tap the button. The playback is loud, but be sure to speak clearly. I like that you can record up to 30 secs. I use one word associations for my dogs. If you are not sure where to start when first using these, I suggest setting aside 10-15 minutes training sessions a day. I first started these buttons with my 12 week Doberman puppy and then slowly, my 2 year old french bulldog started picking up. I first used the “food” button and would tap myself, then award treat. I would place his paw on the button and then give him his treat. It took some time before he realized the pattern associated with it. I would wait until your dog shows confidence in mastering one button before introducing a second command. A good tip is to push or tap the button anything the command or requesting is about to happen. For example, right before feeding a bowl of food, tap the button and then issue food or right before the dogs go outside for a bathroom break, hit the phrase button associated with letting the dogs out. Lastly, the grip on the button of the button is very minimal, I would recommending getting a double sided adhesive strip and placing at the bottom of the button before placing in designated area (minimize movement). Overall, I’m super impressed with the product and would recommend getting for training your pets if you have time and patience.

So donât let this cute puppy face fool you on this product
So let me tell you a little backstory in the decision-making to purchase this product. Our daughter was diagnosed with lupus about six months ago. One of the issues that she has with this disease is that she will sometimes pass out. Cooper, the goldendoodle is currently being trained to detect when she is about to go down and alert our daughter (and us) that she might be in trouble. That’s where these buttons come in perfectly. Cooper is currently fighting against us teaching him how to use these buttons effectively, but he should get it pretty soon. The training information included is QUITE helpful. We are working on getting him to use them and figured the ability to program them would make him MUCH more effective in telling us whatâs happening before anything bad happens to our girl. This is a very nice kit! Comes with everything you need to get going and appears to be very well made. Iâm thankful that my daughter is not teaching Cooper to swear with those things but it will probably come at some point honestly.Buy with confidence! This is an absolutely wonderful set and should useful for many years to come.

buttons are to hard to press for cats. Would be Great for dogs!
I use bells for my cats when they want treats. Decided to try these buttons since it says works for cats as well. I was going to train my cats to use for ” cat food” “outside”. I recorded the ding sound so they would understand what it was since familiar with the sound. They figured it out but was too hard to press down for them so I am returning. Would be great for dogs!
