5 step stair is great for 18lb. Dachshund mix.
5 step is good height, very grippy tread material. Good design. This stair overcomes the 2 major problems with the Amazon Basics hard plastic folding stair. 1. Greater height. 2. Dog feels secure on steps-not slipping and sliding on hard plastic. But it is big and bulky. Easily stood up against chair to get out f the way. The upper unit zips onto the lower unit. No instructions but once the zipper is correctly started it zips on just fine. The trick is getting it started!

These stairs are much better than expected. I have had similar ones that were very flimsy and sank in when the dogs would try and go up them. These ones are soft yet sturdy! Quality better than expected.

Nice Product!
Didn’t expand quite as tall as advertised. Less by about 1.5 inches. I am using it for my elder cat to get up onto the bed. It took lots of bribing with treats for him to try the stairs but once he did, he uses them regularly to get up onto the bed. They are soft and attractive! Very helpful for my cat! Thanks for a nice product.

As advertised – soft cushion steps
These steps come vacuum sealed in a small package and expend upon opening. They are a soft but sturdy foam, perfect for small dogs. Unfortunately, we did not pay close enough attention to the dimension and it’s far too small for our medium dog; he jumps over the steps to the couch instead of using them. Our neighbors with corgi and mini terrier-size dogs now have them and they work fine.

Works fine for a small dog
We have a 16-18 lbs small breed dog and this product really helps. our aging dog wouldnât be able to get on the couch without it. It was easy to train the dog to use the steps. We just lured the dog up and down with food until she got it. Itâs pretty squishy , not super hefty foam, but fine for a small dog. Maybe a little soft for a bigger dog

Good product- the steps a little too short but works well
Good product, good price. Dogs were afraid of it at first. They are used to it now, but the stairs a little bit too short in length, not deep enough for the older dog to get the traction needed to jump up without a little struggle.to update: I put a small piece of carpet at the bottom of the steps (we have hardwood flooring) and now the old dog has the traction needed to go up and down easily..

Look nice but 5 steps is not as sturdy
These look great and feel great. They seem easy to clean. I got the 5 steps that is still not real enough for my bed, but I knew that when purchasing. It definitely helps my frenchie be able to get on the bed. They just are wobbly once he gets to the second part of the steps which is attached with a zipper.

This product is sturdy and prevents injury for our small dog. It arrives vacuum packed, so you need to give it time for the foam to expand. Ours took about 30 hours, but the package insert said you could use heat to speed up the process. This allows our chihuahua to get himself on or off our tall bed. It only took two days for him to get comfortable with using it. We just put high value treats on each step and would replace the ones he ate a few times through the day. He slowly worked his way up as he started trusting it, and will now run up and down the steps with no hesitation. Definitely recommend

Very easy to use they’re a little short for my bed so I used a blanket for her as an extra step. My dog is a wiener dog terrier mix she’s about 6-8 pounds. She loves the Stairs and I don’t have to worry about her hurting her legs jumping on and off the bed. The stairs are sturdy as well 🙂

I bought a set of steps from Marshalls and it was $10 more than this one from Amazon and it’s just as good. Our pup loves them. They’re easy to maneuver, has a cover to easily remove for cleaning, and is really light weight. Again, works great for my pup, but she weighs less than 5lbs. My other pup is 20lbs and she doesn’t use it.
