Love
Black Opium has been a favorite of mine for quite a long while. Being able to afford it is the problem. Ambery Vanilla is rich and decadent. The scent is deep and classy, not too over powering but lasts all day. Feels like a warm hug.

i love it personally
i have no clue what the negative reviews are talking about tbh. it’s warm, sweet, fruity, and just overall pleasant. the scent changes when you apply it, it’s real nice in the bottle but sooo much better on the skin. i’ve noticed it changes throughout wear as well, sort of shifts with your sweat. the pear really shines through at times lmao
it isn’t too strong but boy can you smell it and it lasts thus-far. my main concern was being around my ma because she’s highly sensitive to scents (candles, perfume/cologne, incense, oils, air fresheners, foods, you name it) most things cause migraines and sneezing fits for her but she loves it. my partner and younger brother do as well.
i’d like to add that it’s an androgynous scent with a fem lean, would pair wonderfully with masculine scents and i plan to do so, v excited!
(little update, i paired it with woody oakmoss and get lots of compliments, it smells AMAZING)
lastly, i’ve been wearing it for around 2½ hours and it’s still going strong. i can smell myself every time i move or the wind blows, it’s so niceð
very glad i ignored the negative reviews because… i didn’t experience any of that. maybe they just received bad batches??

Sexy fragrance
I’m very impressed with the dossier fragrance line. I purchased the ambery vanilla, which is a dupe for ysl’s black opium. Top notes of mandarin, pair, pink pepper, licorice. Middle notes of jasmine, Orange blossom. Base notes Cedarwood, patchouli, vanilla, coffee. I was looking for an affordable fragrance that you can wear every day around the house if you do not want to use up your expensive luxury fragrance. This smells extremely similar to Black opium. I can definitely pick up the coffee note and its fragrance. The bottle is very modern and simplistic with a magnetic lid. It comes packaged in a sturdy box. One thing I love about this line is that you can return the fragrance if you’re not in love with it, On their website. I personally love this one. This lasts on my skin for hours. I can even smell it all my clothes the next day. I’ve received many compliments while wearing this beautiful fragrance. It feels classy and elegant with giving some spice. I recommend this scent for the fall and winter. I will definitely repurchase.

decent sillage, poor longevity
Smells pretty good to me. I like it better than the black opium fragrance that itâs based off of. Sweet but not too much, and I donât typically like sweet fragrances. However, it lasts like an hour max on skin. Lasts a pretty long time on clothes though. Good enough for me to repurchase, just wish I didnât have to reapply it so often.

Definitely smells like Black Opium
Nothing wrong with it but I unfortunately decided I donât like it. It kinda just smells like a designer fragrance Id smell generally in a mall or something. Now, the Le Parfum Black Opium is crazy ended up buying a full bottle of that one and much much prefer it. You really get the black coffee and vanilla that I wanted from the regular one. Five stars because I just donât like it.

Smells like Black Opium-does not last
I will say the perfume does smell incredibly similar to YSL’s Black Opium, which I was happy about. However, an Eau De Parfum is a higher concentration that should last up to 8 hours or even more which did not happen for me. I would say it had great concentration for about 2 hours then began to wear out with it being completely gone within 4 hours. While the price is amazing for being so similar to Black Opium I do question if this is a true Eau de Parfum and not an Eau de Toilette (which roughly has a lifespan of 4 hours). Overall, the fragrance and price are phenomenal, but the fragrance does not last as long as you would imagine for what it is advertised for. Maybe it is just my bottle and perhaps I got a “bad batch” but the scent overall is great and a great deal compared to what you would pay for the true YSL Black Opium.

Smells amazing and better than the inspiration scent.
I am always looking for a good new scent, this perfume smells amazing! Also, there was more liquid than I was anticipating it will last a long time. The scent also lasts all day and longer. The cap is magnetic, so you don’t have to worry about it getting lost or the spray top getting broken. Love the scent and design of the bottle. I am thoroughly impressed at the quality for the price.

Smells nice, but itâs just not the same as Black Opium
I typically donât leave reviews, but as a lover of YSLâs Black Opium, and a hater of the price tag, I feel like I have a good understanding of what this perfume smells like! To start, the bottle is very nice and of good quality. Itâs in a glass bottle that has a nice weight to it. The cap is magnetic, which is a nice touch! It also has a fantastic atomizer. A perfume from this brand would make a great gift due to the quality and packaging alone. However, if youâre looking for a perfect dupe, this is not it, unfortunately. YSLâs version has more of a gourmand scent to me, where as this version is heavier on the floral scent. If you like Black Opium, but you wish it had stronger floral notes, then this would be the perfect version for you. However, if youâre like me and you like the YSL version for the vanilla and coffee notes, then you wonât like this one as much. Itâs not a bad perfume by any means, just not a perfect dupe. Iâll use this one until it runs out, but I probably wouldnât repurchase it for that reason alone.
