    Best price and value
Best price and value for these little lifesavers. If you can have one item in a survival situation – this is it. It provides heat (your body heat trapped) and shelter to keep you dry. Even more important than matches if you find yourself stranded. They unfold into a large blanket, big enough to wrap completely around an adult or maybe two if you aren’t both XXL people. Keep one in each glove box and another in a survival kit or in your pocket.

    Seems good.
I haven’t used one of these I purchased yet. But I have used these type of emergency blankets before. For emergencies, hunting, camping, fishing, ice fishing, etc. And also when I was in the military, on an Emergency Services Team and Search&Rescue. Here in Michigan, when I lived out by the Rocky Mountains, in Wyoming and up in Alaska out in the wilderness and tundra. They have come in very handy and saved lives. I always try to carry at least one in my pocket. And a few in my vehicles. And I’ve given them to everybody. To carry on them or in their vehicles. My Wife and daughter and wifes sister and my sister all carry them in their purses. You just never know when you might need one.

Cheap mylar sheet conveniently packaged for emergencies
These “blankets” are very thin mylar sheets that are great to have around if you’re cold. I’d consider them a single use item unless you’re really careful with them. They’re cheap enough though so I can easily stash them anywhere they may come in handy in the future. They come nicely individually wrapped and folded in a way that you’ll never be able to reproduce. If used correctly, they retain body heat very well and are great to use if you ever get caught out in the cold, need some extra insulation on the couch, or want to cover up a drafty window.

Bought for my sister in Kaw. Her condo is …
Bought for my sister in Kaw. Her condo is new, but not air tight. Where her chair is you can see the blinds move.. She now wraps herself in one of the blankets to keep warm. Have thought many people could use these blankets in window AC units, anywhere you feel a draft. They would work for many many things besides keeping you warm. Light weight, There cost efficient so I thing everyone should have them.

    Put Them Everywhere!
After using a thermal blanket that I got at a half marathon to keep a friend from going into shock after she got a concussion, I decided that I needed to have one of these on me at all times. The main complaint that I see about these blankets are that they are not durable. I took one out of the package and it seemed strong enough. Remember, these are for emergencies. They will not stand up to continual use. They are, for the most part, a one time use blanket that will keep you warm if you’re stuck in the cold, and will help keep people from going into shock after a traumatic injury.

Cool car in summer, warm camping in winter
I originally purchased these to keep the sun/heat out of the car at nosework trials (used on the front and back windows with aluminet over the rest of the car), and it works great for that (I didn’t know you could still see from the inside which is perfect)! I have also used them as part of my winter camping sleep system since I don’t own an insulated pad. I put one on the floor of my tent, followed by a Thermarest foam pad partially under a Klymit static V (my dog sometimes likes to stretch out onto the foam pad but still be under the quilt/sleeping bag). I’ve been down to the mid-20s with just a fleece jacket and wool socks (using a 2 pound goose down sleeping bag opened up like a quilt on top), but haven’t tried without the blanket.

    Tissue paper thin…
Very light weight, single use…….this is a disposable reflective sheet of very thin mylar that started to tear as soon as we were wrapped up in it, and once a tear starts it continues across the material. Would/could this item save you from hypothermia? Perhaps it could, but if you wanted to use it for a period of time you would need to really treat it with kid gloves.Calling it an ‘Emergency Thermal Blanket’ is being particularly generous….in fact, referring to it as any kind of ‘Blanket’ is really a stretch. IMHO
