Good off-brand sponges for cleaning
These are pretty good sponges for cleaning, but not quite as good as the real ones, or the higher quality off-brands. I use these for minor/quick cleaning so it typically is good enough for my uses. Some of the other reviewers mentioned to add a little bit of your own cleaner to these for them to work a little better, and I tried that and saw some improvement as well. These will last me a while!

Not exactly the same as magic eraser sponges, but similar
These are slightly smaller than magic erasers. The width is the same, they are about half an inch shorter and 1/4″ thinner. This isn’t an issue I took into account when giving them 4 stars, but it might matter to someone so I will state the fact.I honestly expected these to be exactly the same as magic erasers. They are not the same. There are various brand name products that are more expensive because you are paying for the name, but there are also definitely names that are worth the extra money. These are less than half the price that it would cost me to get the same number of brand name sponges at my local grocery store. These are enough different in quality that your purpose and habit will probably dictate which is a better buy.These are somehow more firm. When you squeeze them and fold them they bounce back more quickly than magic erasers. They feel perkier.These seem to stand up to scrubbing better than magic erasers. I have always felt that magic erasers fall apart easily. I find it annoying that I spend as much as I do for them and they are trash after cleaning one problem area. I use them even after they start to fall into multiple pieces because I want to get my money out of them.I don’t use magic erasers on a regular basis. I tend to buy them when I have a cleaning project. I might get some to clean the doors or around light switches once a year or when we have a big to-do planned at the house. I would keep some on hand if I were selling my house because they are perfect for taking care of marks on walls and finger prints on things. They are great for cleaning doors before you put a fresh coat of paint on them, or cleaning the hallway where kids drag their fingers so you don’t need to paint as often. However, magic erasers to work like very fine sand paper, so they can do things like take the finish on something vinyl and remove some of the color, or make a really smooth spot on your laminate countertop. For this reason I rarely use them.I did side-by-side tests of these two sponges on the top of a kitchen drawer, on the wall by a light switch, on the front door, and on a pencil mark on the wall. The magic eraser did a much better job of removing the marks and grime.On the top of a white drawer I wiped back and forth 16 times with this sponge and it looked clean, but then I wiped 8 times with the magic eraser and it was equally clean. While using the magic eraser there is more of a friction drag that is noticeable, these glide across more easily. The friction seems to be what does the erasing.A pencil mark on the wall… this sponge scrubbed at it, I think it would have eventually disappeared, but I got tired of scrubbing it after a minute and picked up my magic eraser which removed it completely in 3 little wipes.So, these are more economical if you use this type of sponge often and it will not do damage to laminate countertops as quickly as a magic eraser would. If you only use them occasionally to do a really good job at cleaning up a year or two worth of muck on your kids’ bedroom doors, don’t bother with these, you won’t be happy.These will last longer. They don’t rip or tear or crumble as quickly. They simply are not the same thing as a magic eraser, they look similar, they kind of feel similar, I am sure they are made out of something similar. They don’t compare. They surely have their place in the world of cleaning.

Just as clean!
I wanted to use these as an alternative to MrClean white sponges and I like them! They are just as long lasting and I use them to clean my white shoes (I have so many) and sandals. You can also use on kitchen and base boards. They will disintegrate fast in water but well worth it and must use like that.

Comparable to name brand!
These are comparable to the real ones! Theyâre great for cleaning counter tops and getting off those stains. Iâve also used them in the bathrooms and they work great too. They remove marks off the paint on the walls, theyâre just like the real ones for a quarter of the price and a bunch more in the pack.

These are a really good value with how much you get at the low price that they want for it. They work just as well as the name brand competitor. I also like that these have the textured side that really helps remove dirt and stuff off of surfaces even faster. Iâve tried plenty of other kinds of these melamine cleaning sponges from other brands that arenât the name brand kind and most of them just seem to fall apart and disintegrate after a few uses. These seem to hold up just a bit longer than the rest I have tried and I would definitely buy again and recommend them
