Saved wrist in a bad fall!
My mom (77) was wearing this for her arthritic thumb at the recommendation of her PT (worked great, by the way, giving her fantastic pain relief). When we were on vacation, she fell forward off a curb and landed right on this wrist. But for this brace and its sturdiness, she would have had a catastrophic wrist injury. Instead, the brace held her wrist firmly in place, it didnât move at all, and she had an extremely clean break straight acrossâ the orthopedic surgeon could not believe it! Her wrist also did not swell or get worse because of the brace use for the hours and days after.Of course, this brace is not meant to prevent or cure wrist breaks, BUT⦠for those on the fence whether to buy it, it will protect you from yourselfâ¦. 🙂 It is strong but the velcro is easily put on and off, even by arthritic hands, and while very sturdy, it is still comfortable, doesnât rub your skin raw, and reminds you that you are your own best health ally!!!

Wrist brace that fits
My wifeâs hands and wrists are small. I bought two âsmallâ braces to try out and one completely engulfed her hand to where her thumb was completely covered. This particular gray glove fit her hand perfectly and it works well. It has support and ensures that her movement is limited. This has allowed her to finally start healing and now she has told me she is feeling much better lately. I would say this brace is exactly as described and perfect for actual small hands.

Comfortable and long lasting
Had a Schaphoid non-union surgery, and then another one eight months later. in total i was wearing a thumb spica for ten months. i have become a thumb spica connoisseur, and if you put the time in to adjust the metal splints (or make someone else do it) this becomes one of the most comfortable thumb spicas there is. the splints also dont shift around like other spicas. also, if you work with your hands, most thumb spicas become worn out gross looking after about a month even with hand or machine washing. i went through four spicas over four months before i got this one, which lasted about six months and somehow stayed relatively clean looking. definitely recommend this brace

Get the larger size…
Purchased the S/M size based item description / sizing for my 6.5 inch wrist. However, that size didn’t work for my wrist/arm. The straps and metal supports weren’t lined up properly. Purchased the M/L of the same brace and it works perfectly. Recommend you order the larger size unless you have a very small wrist AND very thin arm. Well made, comfortable, and hopefully will do what it says it will!

My son needed a race for his arm the doctor showed him one that was super expensive wasn’t sure this would work but it’s been working out great it’s well constructed it lasts long and most importantly it really helps support the palm of the hand if you need time for it to heal this is something you should check out

Sturdy
I broke my wrist, and the doctor was taking his sweet time on helping me, so I took it into my own hands once I found out it was only a small fracture. This brace has soft parts and firmer parts too it. It has a nice metal plate on the bottom to support my wrist and a bar on the side with the thumb to give support over there also. It is perfect for me to keep my wrist from moving up or down or side to side. It is comfortable for a brace since I am going to have to wear it for a few weeks. Very happy with this particular brace as other braces do not have as much support.

Works almost instantly
I love this brace. As soon as I put it on, the relentless pain in my wrist and thumb stopped. After wearing it for over an hour, the pain was still gone and I could actually use my hand. Of course I still have some pain but this brace has made a big difference and is truly worth the money. It’s comfortable, and easy to sleep in. It’s a little hard to do intricate tasks and is a little bulky but it helps so appearance doesnât matter to me. I ordered a sm/med and the fit is good. The most important thing is how it aliviates wrist and thumb pain. A wonderful product.

It is great once you alter it a little
Works well and I like the rigidity and tightening straps on this. It does have a piece of material used for the thumb that digs into the webbing on your hand though. After wearing it one night I immediately took out the scissors to remove the offending piece. I need more of wrist support than thumb stability so for me it works really well now. Still had to ding a couple of stars for having to alter it. Hope this helps.
