Cat refuses to eat it, EDIT IN REVIEW
I had been using Fera’s probiotic blend for a little over a year now and it (seemingly) has benefited my cat, Juniper. She hasn’t gotten sick (but she never really had before) while taking the probiotics, and her stomach issues seem to be easier for her to manage. Although it did work well, while reviewing my budget, I decided to try out the postbiotic since it is more inexpensive per oz. and seems to have similar benefits. When I opened the container I quickly noticed a strong cumin like smell coming from it. I didn’t think too much about it since the serving size is so small, so I assumed it wouldn’t affect her foods taste/smell. I made her food as per usual (warm water, baked kibble, wet cat food, and omega oils), this time using the postbiotic in place of the prebiotic. After mixing everything up and allowing the kibble to soak in the water I realized that the cumin smell was still super strong and completely overpowered the normal fishy smell her food had.At this point I was a little nervous since Juniper tends to be quite picky and bases a lot of what she will or wont eat off of smell alone. My nerves were unfortunately correct and she refused to eat it. I even tried starting off with an even smaller amount, which she did attempt to eat, but after one bite she decided she was done.Feras prebiotics are AMAZING, I 10/10 recommend it. Although, I wouldn’t say the same about their postbiotics, especially if you have a pickier pet like mine.-EDIT: Fera reached out to me and offered to fully refund the postbiotics so I will be updating my review to 5⭐️

    It works
This is the first probiotic I’ve tried for my cats. I chose this brand over others because it has more pre and probiotic strains with higher counts with similar prices plus this one has no added flavorings or meat proteins in it and it is also veterinarian formulated. Many other brands say they have certain certifications and are vet formulated but they don’t have decent information and proof on their websites. Fera’s website has more information on the product and the vet who formulated it. The supplement does have a slight but not deterring odor and is tan in color. I’m on my second container and now all six are getting it on their food. Be aware the container is only half full and the company says it’s a required and safer size package for processing (they’re not the only company that has this response either).5/6 have no issue with the meat protein and they’re the ones that got the entire first container. I saw a difference in their coats within days. It also helped with their bad breath, vomiting, and our old man kitty’s body and ear odor. You could tell he was around as soon as he walked in the room until he started getting this on his food! I didn’t notice a huge difference in litter odor though. Now my baby, she has skin issues caused by a possible food allergy, is possibly epileptic (on antiseizure meds twice daily), slight hypercalcemia, and reoccurring urinary issues (probably caused by the stress and hypercalcemia making her more prone to uti and calcium oxalate crystals and stones causing her to be on antibiotics frequently). No diagnosis yet unfortunately. Because of those issues she has to avoid all additives and is on a soy based diet to rule out food allergens but since shes frequently on antibiotics she needs something to help with her gut and overall health and there needs to be no meat protein. I originally purchased it for her but she didnt get any until the second container. She turns her nose up at her food half the time because she can smell it (the others were the same way at first but they ate it when they got hungry enough and have no problem now) but the jury is still out for her. I’ll update when shes eating it consistently. It does come sealed, has a pack inside to keep it from getting hard and clumping, and comes with a scoop. I do keep it in the fridge after opening to prolong the life and for piece of mind even though it’s polished off well before the date. The cats seem to eat less now that it’s hot and humid (no AC) so I’m not sure how to adjust the feeding schedule. I’m worried the weather is making the probiotic and in turn the kibble spoil. Overall it’s expensive with this many cats but it definitely improves their health so I will continue purchasing.I almost forgot, our black shepherd has been breaking in and eating the cat’s food without any vomiting or diarrhea as a result so I though the cats were just being piggies and begging for extra food. Little did I know they were actually hungry because Oolee is a jerk lol! I guess I can say it works for dogs too because he had zero stomach upset with over a cup and a half of cat food multiple times. It took a few times but I figured it out by noticing the cat’s dish was licked clean (the last tine the bowl was still wet and bubbly with drool lol). When the probiotic is on their food (I mix it in for even distribution to make sure one cat isn’t eating way too much) it leaves a residue on the bowl when the food is gone. I wash their bowl daily to prevent bacteria growth and spoilage.

    Happy tummy, Happy Dog.
This product has made a noticeable difference in my dog’s digestion and overall health. Since starting this supplement, my dog has had fewer stomach issues, and his coat looks shinier and healthier. The powder is easy to give, which makes daily dosing simple. Knowing that this probiotic supports his gut health gives me peace of mind. I highly recommend it for any dog owner looking to enhance their pet’s well-being.

    recommended
Besides, it has no flavor, it doesn’t give my cats diarrhea. It helps keep the intestine clean, I recommend it.

What a difference this has made
My puppy had loose stools but after dosing him with these probiotics on top of some wet food, there has been a huge improvement in his health based off his stools. As he has grown over the last several months, it was apparent from his stools when an additional scoop was needed and was consistent with the instructions on the side of the product. Highly suggested if your puppers needs some digestion help.

    My cats hate it
I tried giving this to my 2 kitties mixed into their wet food. One refuses to sniff the bowl, and the other only eats 1-2 bites before turning his nose up at it. I’m disappointed I spent almost $30 on a product I can’t return because my cats don’t care for it.

I’ve been using this product for several months now and I highly recommend this probiotic/prebiotic blend. Not only is it exceptional in it’s health benefits and results for my dog but it’s most affordable. My dog is 125 lbs. Other products require so many scoops per meal, they over power the taste of his food and he won’t eat. This product has a teenie fingernail size scoop, one per day in each meal, breakfast and dinner. Packs a powerhouse of benefits in a small package. And it doesn’t impact the taste of his food. I highly recommend this product not only for it being the best for your dogs gut health but also for your wallet. 🐾

What I like about this the product made in the USA. The ingredients are listed clearly on the labels. It got GMP. As you can see, the jar has all of the certificate labels. Labels for pet probiotics hardly ever mention this. It’s Organic no fillers. It is also good for long-term sensitive pets’ health. My cats are sensitive to certain food. I only add it when I feed them canned food. So far I found it helpful for my kitties.

Fido doesn’t like it and rejects food regularly when this is added. I can’t tell if the item works or not.
