    Good product
The quality of this product is great, my rescue is stuck in her old ways and very slow to learn so I can’t speak on the effectiveness. But it hangs from the doorknob well, it’s a good thickness. There is one bell on the back though so it doesn’t lie flat against the door. The adjustable length is great- we have an average height doorknob and the bottom bells are less than a foot from the floor, making it perfect for the smaller ones. For the price, it’s worth it to try and train your dog. As for my fluffy one…well, we may never know. It might just be a cool decoration. It also helps me hear when my five year old is trying to go outside, so that’s a plus I suppose.

    Easy to ring
This bell works great. Easy to hang, light weight, and adjustable length for our small dog. They ring loud enough to hear but not startle people (or the dog). I like the solid color as well. The fabric feels strong and souls last a good while!

    Great bells
Dog walks over to my bells to let me know he has to go out. Works out great once he trained dog to use them.

Not as loud as expected, and not very adjustable
I bought a total of four of these to make sure I could hear if my kid (a toddler) opened a door to get out, or if an intruder attempted to enter. A low-tech solution, I know, but many of the electronic “motion detectors” simply aren’t reliable. Bells have worked for thousands of years. ;-)I understand these straps and bells are marketed for training dogs, but I figured they’d still work for my purposes. And they do, mostly. But whether you use them for your dogs or for something similar to what I’m doing, be aware that there are just a couple short-comings.These are advertised and listed as “Extra Loud Bells,” but in reality they are very inexpensive, untuned sleigh bells and reasonably pleasant in sound (not harsh or tinny), but unfortunately they are not especially loud. This is party because of the cheap, plated metal used, and also because they rest against the nylon strap that holds them. They are not free hanging, and the strap mutes them each a bit.As for the “adjustable” claim in the listing, the strap only has two buttons allowing for adjustment. Take a look at the pictures I’ve posted. One is buttoned high, and the other is buttoned low. There’s a very modest 1-2 inches of adjustability total. That amount is cut in half when you consider that the adjustment is not for the middle or end, but the portion that goes over the door knob.On the bright side, they are otherwise well-constructed and the price is extremely reasonable. I hope they work for your application or needs.

    Great Design
My two 9 week old puppies think this makes a fun tug toy!I like that the Length is adjustable for all sizes of dog and that the Strap can be Tightened around the door knob. All the attachments are sturdy and secure. Incredibly easy to install. The Bells make a Pleasant sound, but can make quite a racquet every time the door is opened (or when my pups play with them!)I might end up using the included Adhesive Hook for hanging the bells Next to the door instead. These bells are my favorite part of potty training and have worked great with previous dogs. Current pups have only been here 5 days, but they already either ring the bells or bark when they need to go outside to poo. (I used a clicker, treats and praise to train them- positive reinforcement training. )They are too young to anticipate needing to pee, so barely make it to a pee pad in time. Eventually the bells will work for that too.

Snap fell off on first use
This looks like a nice item but the main snap came off completely the first time I unsnapped it so now there is just a hole in the strap. Luckily it was cheap and there are other lower snaps that can be used farther down. Not worth returning. The bells sound good and are nice and big.

Best Dog Doorbell for my Great Dane
So I got custody of Molly in the divorce because her father was trifling. And it really was a good thing because we are better off, but I decided that our big house with the big dog door (where Molly could go in and out as she pleased) was too much space to rattle around in. My new house was not big enough to install another big dog door for my sweet, 150 lb. dog with a big bladder. After spending too much time with Molly standing and staring at me apparently trying to let me know that she wanted to go outside, I ordered this doggie doorbell. She was easy to train by pulling the doorbell out and touching her nose with it as I said, “Ring your bell,” (in a sing-songy voice) immediately praising her, and letting her go outside. So I paired a verbal prompt with a partial physical prompt of ringing the bell, and her reinforcement was to get what she wanted which was to go outside. Google “Pavlov’s dog!”As she grew accustomed to it, I pulled out less and less of the doorbell and eventually let it hang at the door at which time I would prompt her to touch it with her nose. If she didn’t, I would say, “Ring your bell!”, tap the bell, and encourage her to touch it with her nose. Now, she does it all by herself. She even has the same doorbell on the outside of the screen door so she can let me know that she needs to come back in.Sometimes, she cops an attitude and stands outside and barks at me. I just say, “You’re not going to talk to me like that! You need to ring your bell.” And she does.Giving Molly a method to communicate this particular need has made me wonder what else she could communicate. Her brother, Stash, the cat with a moustache who is indoors only, rang the bell the other day after she rang it and went outside. I’m pretty confident that if Stash were an outdoor cat, I could train him to use it as well.So this bell is pretty durable and sturdy because it gets worn out by this 150 lb dog. It’s long enough that little dogs could reach it. And the bells are loud enough that you can hear it in the other room.I highly recommend it for potty training. You can’t just hang it up and have it work automatically. You do have to train your pet to use it. Do it in small steps moving the pet closer and closer to the final behavior that you want which is to ring it independently.I’m an elementary teacher with a doctorate from Vanderbilt, and I’m studying to be a BCBA. But you don’t need my training to use this product. Remember, successive small steps towards the final behavior you want to see your pet exhibiting. I hope this helps someone.

This product is good for training your puppy and it long so any size dog can reach it hanging from your door handle. However, I was disappointed as the price fluctuates a lot, after purchasing the price dropped like $3 a couple times but not a big deal. Would recommend

If I was not traumatized by the shrieks of my puppy I would have taken a video to share! It serves its purpose to potty train but the problem is that the dogs paws keep getting caught in the bell and the dog would cry out in pain! And this has happened several times – today I just decided to take it down I’ve seen my dog suffer enough! It’s a great idea and I would have given 5 stars if the bells were closed ! The manufacturer must find a way to close the bells to avoid the dog from getting hurt!!

So I tried to train my dog with these bells on a few occasions and have had no success. When he was 4-5 months he would bark and growl at them, and as he got older he would just try to chew and attack them. They’re really loud which is a pro if you live in a big house and you want to be able to hear them from anywhere, but they’re unncessarily loud for apartment dwellers in my opinion. I have friends who use these for their dogs and have never had any issues so I don’t want to completly knock them, but they didn’t do the trick for us. We eneded up switching to recordable buttons and had great success.
