For the first 20 years, she was a one-woman show, running everything from production and sales, to packing each order by hand. Some 35 years after taking a leap of faith and creating this company, Maria is still at the helm today, serving as company President and remaining intricately involved in all things Framar.
How did we get our start?
Maria created Framar out of the back of her husband Frank’s salon in 1986, becoming the first in Canada to create foil made specifically for hair stylists.

Perfect fit, strong enough for cleaning
Perfect to clean and keeps your hands away from dirt or unwanted sanitizing chemical, but gentle and soft to the touch. Durable, elastic, ambidextrous, and cute. The box could be bigger for the price, but I’m super happy with them since they keep my sensitive skin covered.

Cute pink, good quality, a bit big
I ordered these instead of my normal boring black or blue nitrile gloves for cleaning around the house. I love the color. However, they are a bit on the thin side if that is important to you (some gloves come with reinforced fingers, which these do not have). They also run a bit large on me. I usually wear medium size nitrile gloves but these medium Framar gloves I ordered are a bit loose. They are still great quality and do the job.

Y aunque son de material delgado en mi experiencia me sirven bastante para ocuparlos con tintes y ketarinas y peróxido.Lo único que recomiendo es que chequen muy bien las medidas de sus manos, porque a mi el talla chica(small) me quedo muy ajustado, aun y cuando mi manita es delgada y no tan grande. Tal vez si hubiese pedido talla mediano me hubiera quedado super cómodos los guantes.En todo lo demás super si recomiendo.

I honestly nearly cried with joy when I tried these on and they fitted perfectly AND accommodated my nails AND are a beautiful colour! This is the first time I’ve found gloves with the right finger length.I wear a size 7 gloves and these are very snug indeed, I could maybe even go up a size.Very happy with the durability and comfort, I was able to use a little hand cream underneath without the material being affected and importantly the gloves are powder-free so no horrible bits gathered under my nails.Definitely worth the extra money, particularly for small hands + long fingernails. Very happy!
