DON’T BUY THIS GLASS AND SALT
Purchased to tumble and add a little color to our rock garden. I’m kicking myself for not looking more closely at the reviews. I received 4 large chunks of clear, pink, and black glass. Wicked sharp edges too, I sliced my finger open just opening the package. There was also 4 large chunks of Himalayan pink salt…all of these not “crystals” made up more than 3/4 of my bag. SHOP LOCAL, don’t buy crystals on Amazon. I know I won’t again.

Gem dig for kindergarteners
The grands had a blast digging for gems in sand in a plastic wadding pool . I had to remove the clear gems they had sharp edges other wise it was great hour of pkay

Tumbling stones
The size of the stones was nice, was not real happy with the quality of the stones a lot of breakage.

Over a pound of glass
Pretty disappointed. Over 1lb of the 3lbs of ârocksâ was minty-blue and hot pink glass chips. I even tumbled them just to be sure, turned into frosty sea glass. The rest of the stones for the most part appear to be real, but Iâm doubting some of them, like the obsidian might just be black glass.

Not a rock tumbling kit!
Apparently some of the rocks in this kit are salt (according to my geologist daughter) which dissolves and becomes a hard sludge in your tumbler. The quartz like stones are probably just glass, and they tumbled okay, but aren’t fabulous. Now I’m nervous to try and tumble the other stones because having just one of the salt stones in the tumbler made the rest hard to remove from the clay-like substance that was formed. This should not be sold as a tumbling kit if the stones are not hard enough to tumble. And they are really not useable as is for jewlry due to size and shape, so I’m not sure what else you’d do with them. Will not buy again.
