Smells Different from My Other Lavender Oils
I own a few bottles of lavender oil from different manufactures, including one accredited by a non-profit organization outside of the U.S. Real essential oils not only to smell good, but bring mental and physical benefits. Iâve heard that in some European countries, aromatherapy is used as an alternative health care covered by health insurance.Unfortunately, it is said that more lavender oil is sold in the world than is produced, meaning that some synthetically made oils with lavender flavor are sold as essential oils, and they may not bring the same health benefits as real essential oils⦠they could even be bad for you to breathe, take internally, or externally.Garden of Life is one of the major essential oil brands sold at many organic stores. It says 100% Organic & Pure, USDA organic, Non-GMO verified, tested by GC/MS (gas chromatograph/mass spectrometer). But it didnât really come with information other than whatâs written on the box and bottle; I could not find extra information on their web site, either. Iâve been spending a lot of time trying to verify what they claim, but I am not a professional aroma therapist, and I failed to find information to confirm its authenticity. There are organizations in some countries to verify the quality of oil on the market, but I could not find a list of accredited essential oils in the U.S. (essential oils are not regulated by the Food and Drug Adminstration here).Garden of Life Organic Essential Oil, Lavender, smells very different from all of the other lavender oils I own. It smells sharper, and somewhat I would say âplastic-likeâ, though I hope my expression wonât create an unfair bias⦠this is just my honest impression.Conclusions/Recommended? Not sure.
