4 YEARS OF USE AND STILL A GREAT BED!
I am reviewing this product for the first time however I purchased this pet bed in October of 2015 after bringing home my new pup. I chose this bed for its orthopedic support knowing my boy was going to grow to be roughly 100 lbs, for the waterproof cover included knowing — well he was a young puppy!, for the removable washable cover– a must for any puppy and adult dog :), and an important factor for me was that the bed needed to fit well inside the pet crate I also purchased around a week prior to this bed.Why am I only now reviewing after 4 years? Well, I was kicking around the idea of purchasing an additional bed for another area in the home and so I immediately searched my previous Amazon order of this exact bed because it has been great for us. This also got me thinking that maybe someone like me, who reads reviews before purchasing a lot of products, might feel better to know how it will hold up to the use and abuse so here goes:1) The support is terrific! Even after 4 years of use and the growth of my pup into the 100+ man of a German Shepherd Dog he is it barely shows any areas of compression and still supports his body very well in either a curled or sprawled out position. And he uses this bed a lot (when the cat hasn’t hijacked it from him first).2) Waterproof Liner worked like it was supposed to! Even though he is perfect in my eyes, he was not perfect on the potty training so his very limited accidents were contained to the surface above the liner keeping it to a quick sanitizing wipe across to clean after removing the main cover to toss in the washing and drying machines.3) Removable Cover: Has been removed-washed-dried-reapplied countless times over the years and the seams, zipper and material have held up brilliantly! Well, minus a couple of corners, but hey that was a result from teething and boredom so hardly the covers fault!! 😀 I toss into the washing machine on a Normal or PP cycle then into the dryer. It is quick to dry on low heat setting and does not shrink so easy to reapply.4) The 44″x32″x4″ size I purchased fit almost perfectly with a very small amount of effort inside the MidWest Home Pet iCrate in the 48″ size with double door extremely well. I wanted a cushion to help limit pressure on my GSD’s hips from day one, so I looked for a bed that would fit as close to “wall to wall” inside his crate as possible. This one does just that if you barely squeeze in the sides as you are placing it inside. (Or at least IT DID but he very early on had lengthy conversations with me that he was not going to be a kennel kind of guy so I could just go ahead and fold the crate up and store it for a rainy day once he was out of his infancy. I relented– he was very convincing– and since then bed just by itself in our living area). The crate itself, if anyone is interested, is also of very good quality. It’s easy to construct, nice heavy gauge coated metal with sturdy clips, convenient configuration of doors and tray, easy to collapse and compact when not in use for portability or storage.I am confident I have gotten my money’s worth from this bed and then some for sure. Hope this review helps someone to make their own decision. We’re 4 years and going strong!!

Well worth the $$
I have had this bed (in the largest size) for over 4 years now. For the first 2 years, it was used by a 80lb+ geriatric (14-16 years old) Labrador. It did make a noticeable difference in his arthritis. He usually didn’t like beds very much, but he loved laying on this one!He had many incontinence accidents on it. The cover has been washed countless times and still looks brand new. It sitll zips on and off easily. The waterproof bed underneath has been wiped down many times and doesn’t have any noticeable odor. The foam is still as thick and soft as the day I purchased it, with no noticeable worn spots. In fact, when a family member was moving and the movers took the human bed the night before she actually could move, she slept on the floor on this dog bed and said it was extremely comfortable.The old dog died, and I have since then used it for my young Staffordshire Terrier. It is in his kennel where he sleeps every night. Every night, he paws at it for 4+ minutes (he does this with every bed). His nails can be quite sharp sometimes, but it hasn’t torn or shown any signs of wear. We have purchased at least 3-4 other “cheap” ($10-40) beds from petco/petsmart/fleet farm in the past 2 years, and most of them are torn or irreparably smelly after 6 months AT BEST. The ones that do survive look like trash-smelly, pilling, broken zippers, foam torn up, holes. And those ones aren’t even used daily like this one, they are just in the living room used for an hour here or there-and are washed significantly less.I very rarely leave reviews for things, but every time that I wash the cover for this bed, I honestly marvel to my husband about how well it has held up over the years, and how this was a definite “you get what you pay for” scenario!

Il est bien grand, ferme, déhoussable et confortable. J’ai acheté la couleur kaki mais pour moi c’est beige comme sur la photo d’amazon.

Great quality. Waterproof lining on the foam inside the cover, means that the item is durable, and easy to clean. No need to worry about staining or spills. Dog loves it, and he’s a fussy little blighter. Non slip bottom means it stays put too. As one of the other reviewers says, you really can’t beat the quality of this and it’s easy to spend more on an inferior product.
