Lightweight but warm and very comfortable!
I’d been meaning to get a down comforter for our bed for quite a while but never could bring myself to commit to any of them. I searched extensively trying to find one that was affordable but not made in China, and lightweight so I don’t feel smothered while warm enough for our cold Upstate winters. When I finally found this one, I knew I had to give it a try and am so glad I did!The insert is made very well with no feathers poking out and the material soft to the touch (though obviously it will be covered by a duvet). The square quilt pattern makes it hold its shape and prevents bunching in the duvet cover. There are tabs at the corners to fasten them inside a duvet making it easy to slip it on and holding it in place. As far as I could see there were none at the center of the sides, though the duvet I bought had ties. I was afraid that this would make the insert bunch inside the duvet pulling off the sides, but that fear was unfounded, the insert stays put.Very happy with this purchase and highly recommend!!!

This is it. This is the dream.
This is the perfect down comforter. It’s comparable or possibly superior to the highest-end LL Bean down comforter — at a fraction of the price. The cotton shell is crisp, smooth, and sturdy. The baffles are carefully stitched. These are true baffles, not sewn through. No feathers escaped during the unpacking or at any other point. The duvet was carefully packed but not vacuum-packed. I was relieved because I think vacuum packing breaks down the structure of the feathers and down and leads to a flat, leaky duvet that doesn’t last. The duvet is generously filled. After pulling it out of the box I immediately held it up to the light to see how much stuffing was in each baffle. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the baffles were filled, even when the duvet had been squished down for shipping.Sometimes even high-quality feather/down duvets have a weird gross ducky smell. This duvet smelled like crisp cotton and fresh air.I had planned to use the time-honored fluffing technique of putting it in the dryer (no heat) with 6-8 clean tennis balls. But by the time I reached the dryer, the duvet had fluffed so much I couldn’t fit it in there. I carried it up to my room and it became fluffier and fluffier on the way. After shaking it out and leaving it for an hour it looked like the photo, with full puffy baffles. It was magnificent.I purchased a king duvet for my queen duvet cover because I wanted it to be nice and puffy. Sizing up in this case was totally unnecessary. The duvet was puffy enough. I had to really wrestle with it to get the oversized duvet into the queen cover.I’ve seen other reviews that complain generally about cotton + feather/down duvets making a crackling sound. These people should be buying polyester comforters with fiber fill, because that’s what they actually want. A high-quality cotton duvet with high-volume down/feather fill is supposed to crackle. The crispness of the high thread count, carefully stitched cotton along with the high-volume unsquished down + feather fill gives it that crackle. Complaining about the sound is like complaining about the crackle of a real wood fire because you are accustomed to a ceramic space heater with a rotating light log. It’s a comforting and luxurious sound. It’s the sound of authenticity. My last duvet was from LL Bean. It was eye-wateringly expensive. It lasted at least 15 years before becoming too flat and skimpy for winter use. This duvet seems comparable or even superior in quality — at a fraction of the cost.I slept last night like a chick in a nest and dreamed I was making out with Keanu Reeves. I look forward to many future sleeps with this amazing duvet.

    Find a better one!!
It’s made well but not worth the money. It’s feel like there’s wrinkled up plastic inside. And the crinklie sound is awful!!! Makes noise every time you turn over. UGH 🙁

Greeat duvet for the price. The thread count is 240 for the fabric, which is nice and sturdy. It’s noisi in the beginning and takes a few days to really fluff up, but once it’s fully taken it’s space… it feels like a cloud. A soft, puffy warm (and a bit noisy) cloud. The noise getts lower with time and it’s nothing to write home about.

I love this duvet. Even though the price is very reasonable, it’s very warm and light. I read the reviews that the noise it makes when you roll over in bed might make it difficult for light sleepers to fall asleep. That’s over-exaggeration! It’s not so bad. I like the crunchy sound! I highly recommend!

Glad I made this purchase. I have health issues with heavy blankets especially on feet, but no concerns with this duvet. Nice and comfy, not too hot either…imagine it will be quite nice when cool weather comes, I like to have window open .

I have never had a feather duvet in my life so nothing to compare it to except polestar duvets. I think it’s well worth the price light & comfortable & yes it does make crinkle sounds but that’s just part of a feather duvet I’m told 😊
