Trying to feed the whole family can be a challenge…
Trying to feed the whole family can be a challenge, especially with picky eaters, but this cookbook makes it super-easy. The recipes are not only healthy and easy to follow, but they’re kid-friendly, delicious, and introduce your baby to foods like quinoa, flax seeds, and parsnips. Growing Up Gourmet also tells you what nutrients are available in each recipe and when certain fruits and vegetables are in season, so that you can plan for optimum nutrition and flavor. Recipes range from traditional fruit purees and smoothies to hearty Moroccan Lamb and Couscous or Baked Salmon with Corn Salad and Asparagus. This is definitely a book that I reach for time and time again,

It’s hard to find new recipes that satisfy both me and certain little picky eaters who tend to be suspicious of new foods, especially healthy foods. This cookbook makes it so easy to create fun meals I would never think of making like Mini Pumpkin Pancakes and Butternut Squash Mac & Cheese. I’ve had the book for only a little over a month and already half the pages are dog-eared 🙂 I must have made Banana Zucchini flax muffins about 10 times already. Delicious, full of fruit and veggies and the kids think they’re getting a treat. I can’t recommend this book enough!

    Not for toddlers
Barely any recipes for toddlers (12 month+ starts on page 144). I wish the types of recipes wear explained because I wouldn’t have purchased it.

    My favorite
I picked up a lot of baby food cookbooks from the library, and this was definitely my favorite. Ended up purchasing because there were so many recipes I made repeatedly for my son. He is 18 months old and I still use it for him as he has multiple food allergies and I have to make his food separately.

Cooking – Baby through Adult – Nutritional Recipes and Information
I just finished reading “Growing Up Gourmet” in it’s entirety, every yummy recipe, every morsel of nutritional information and every tidbit regarding label meanings such as organic, grass fed, farm-raised. This information teaches you to cook your healthiest options for baby and you. I most appreciated the knowledge supporting food and their beneficial health properties. This book is for appetites 1- 99+ years old.Alana M.Personal Nutrition Chef

I have used so many recipes over and over again from this book! Loads of great information and delicious recipes that both baby and you will love – win! I have given several copies away now and everyone has been super happy with the book too. I made most of the food I gave my baby from these recipes and my now toddler is a great eater and loves veggies, curries, and anything new. I totally credit this book with his adventurous and non-picky palate!

Great book for first time moms or parents wanting to make their own foods. Some of the recipes are a little out there though

I love this cookbook and guide for baby feeding. It contains recipes good for first foods (purees) right up to family meals. I have already used a few for my husband and I. It also addresses vegetarian baby needs, which I appreciate.
