Shungite in history.
Shungite is an ancient natural rock formation (two billion years) that has an unusual composition and structure. It has unique properties and is found only in the Zazhoginsky depot in Karelia. Locals have always used shungite in water and have seen its benefits for centuries without really understanding why.
Science of Shungite.
Shungite was found to be 30 times more effective than coal at removing harmful substances from water. This includes substances such as heavy metals and other contaminants that are often found in drinking water.
Another exciting discovery about Shungite in recent years has been that it contains pure carbon atoms called “fullerenes”, which are molecules similar to footballs that give this stone its absorbent, neutralizing and purifying properties.
Elite Noble Type I.
Contains between 95% and 100% carbon. This is the purest type of Shungite. The Shungite Elite is very fragile and therefore cannot be shaped.
Normal type II shungite.
Contains between 35% and 80% carbon. All objects with shapes such as pyramids or jewelry are made of ordinary Shungite.
There are other types of low-carbon Shungite, which is why I and II types are used for home and personal protection.

Beautiful piece. Love it.
If you’re looking for a fancy, pointed crystal shape, then shungite is not the stone for you (see any picture of Shungite you can find). That said, the particular pendant I received from Heka is a beautiful piece, with a pleasing shape and the beautiful shine and iridescence of good quality Elite Shungite, at a very reasonable price. The nature of the stone makes it lightweight, so easy to wear. But I also found that, because of the lightness, the cord tended to twist (only one twist) so that it repeatedly flipped to show the side that was the back of what I wanted to show. Easy fix though. My solution was to add a couple of silver beads which gave it just enough weight to eliminate the problem, and added a nice touch, which I think made it even more beautiful. It arrived quickly/on time, along with a certificate of authenticity. I also received a pleasant note from the vendor, letting me know how to contact them to resolve any issues if necessary. It isn’t necessary for either this piece or the bracelet I previously purchased, but a nice personal touch that goes a long way to show that they care about their products and customers. I definitely recommend, and will purchase from this vendor again.

Wow! Feel so much better
Moved into a high rise apartment building with newer construction and wired with technology.. and could not get settled, felt exhausted, and ungrounded. I purchased this necklace and pyramid for my home and immediately felt so much better; More calm, focused, clarity in thought, less headaches, overall better energy and mood. Plus I love the size & look of the stylish necklace so donât want to take it off! Very good quality and price. I cant wait to try the bracelet and stones for water purification next.

I LOVE it! Nice and thick. Very beautiful and well made. No chips, nicks, or scratches. ð I plan on wearing this every day, and grounding it for at least 15 minutes each evening to discharge any EMF or undesirable energy. This is so beautiful and well made. The cord is thin yet sturdy which is great because I wear several other gemstone necklaces. Tied the cord into 2 sliding knots so it would be adjustable. Came with certificate of authenticity which also called out the other minerals in this shungite – nice! Even convinced my husband to get one for its benefits. This is a great deal for what you get! If you are considering Heka Naturals just go ahead and get it. They seem legit (did my research) and this looks similar to other Shungite that I own. I am very happy!

Double circle pendant
Don’t forget to rinse off your pendant and string immediately, as the directions say!Likes – style, size, and quality of pendant.Dislike – flimsy string instead with no clasp. I trimmed it and put a double slipknot in it for now until I find something better to put the pendant on.All in all, definitely worth the low price.

I bought two of these for me and my daughter. The stone looks nice and natural. I’m not too thrilled about the cord; I wish it was real leather. I removed it and inserted a ring and use it with a silver chain.

Impractical design –not secure
The necklace looks nice in the photos, but what they don’t explain & what one may not notice, is there is no hole drilled through the stone for it to hang from the string. Instead, there is a shallow indentation carved-out around the diameter of the stone. The string “fits” in the indentation–the string encircles the stone. Unfortunately, this does not adequately secure the stone to the string. The stone can easily fall out of the string. It has happened several times when I’ve worn it. My attempts to tighten the string have not been successful enough to hold the string tight around the stone. I had to stop wearing it. I will be returning the necklace for one I am less likely to lose.
