First, look up the proper way to fit a prong collar. MEASURE SURELY FOR THE RIGHT SIZE or buy extra prongs. Fit correctly and not too tight… if you can’t even turn the collar around the neck than it’s too tight! This collar is NOT meant to slide on. This collar is NOT meant to be worn at all times. A little introduction with a few steps and treats. Give them a stern tug back when they pull and least expect it. Reward when they look at you/focus on you. Reward when they stop/turn with you. This works great – my big Doodle dog does not pull when I use this. It is not harmful or bad for the dog as long as the walker DOES NOT PULL too hard on the chain, just a very gentle tug gets the big dog back on track for walking. GOOD QUALITY no-pull chain.

Authentic Sprenger collar – not a fake – I checked. Fit is perfect for 7 month old cattle dog. Got it today and expected a learning curve – took about 3 seconds for both me and my dog (Jolene) to get the hang of it. Instant success – it was like I was walking somebody else’s dog – no pulling, no choking/gasping that occurred with her non-prong martingale collar. Actually safer than the non-prong martingale or choke collars. WHAT A RELIEF! DOG WALKING IS FUN AGAIN!
