This is a nice alternative to using coals.
It’s a nice burner and the wooden handle to adjust height is fine due to the heat from use.The copal resin I used is nice and earthy, although it seems a bit pricy.

Very pretty, but …
If you actually burn resin, it turns the holder black, the pretty shine is gone, and the resin melts all over the candle, causing the candle to melt worse and run all over. Lovely to look at. Not to use.
