About Us

In 1950, Conrad Jobst founded JOBST in Toledo, Ohio. Born in Germany, Conrad was both a mechanical engineer and inventor. He applied his varied expertise and personal experience to the development of gradient compression garments, which relieve the symptoms of venous insufficiency.

Today, JOBST is an Essity-owned brand.

What is Gradient Compression?

Garments with gradient compression have the greatest pressure at their base and reduce pressure as the compression garment goes up the arm or leg.

This helps encourage the movement of fluids, whether it’s blood circulation or lymph fluid circulation.

    They fit!
These socks do fit me, I’m only 5’2″ so its really hard to find compression socks that fit. There is a little extra near the toes and at the top but other than that, I don’t have to pull them over my knees. These are tight by the way, like a really tight fit but they do help when I’m on my feet for 12 hour a day, 5 days a week. They do wash and dry well, I just stick them in the washer and dryer and they come out just fine. I have a few pairs from 3 years ago and they are just fine!

    Great Swelling Control
I’ve been trying out different socks every since I got diagnosed with lymphedema a few years back, and these are my favorite so far. They aren’t outrageously expensive and they’re made of a thicker, sturdier material so I don’t have to worry about putting a hole in them while putting them on! And, my favorite thing – they have petite sizing so it’s actually compressing in the right areas without having any extra fabric bunching up! I also love that they’ come in black so they look better with my outfits!Pro tip for putting them on: wear rubber cleaning gloves for maximum grip, fold the socks down to the ankle area, then slip it on like you would a normal sock or pair of boots! I think the instructions say to roll/shimmy them up, but that has never worked for me!

    I love these jobst stockings
These are my daily socks.I recommend these for everyone who enjoys a firm supportive feel to the leg while out and about.I wear them for support, no health issues. They make my legs feel so good.I like the firm compressing hug around my calves and ankles. It keeps the circulation stable in my calves and keeps fluid from building up.If you travel by plane a lot I absolutely recommend them. They prevent blood clots in the calves from sitting on long flights. They have different pressure stockings 15 being the lowest 30 being the highest.I wear the 30. It’s a strong compression on the calves. This company jobst makes the best compression stockings. They are pricey at 30 to 60 dollars a pair. But worth it.

    Stockings will not Stay Up!
Stockings are too large at the top. They will not stay up on the thigh, but fall done to the knees. The lower part of the stockkng fits just fine.

    These socks are garbage
If you want medical compression, then these are not for you. If you want socks made of high quality materials that will last, then these sock are also not for you.

This product does not give correct measurement advice. I would not by it from amazon. Find Compression Hose specialists to purchase from.

I have been wearing these for a few years now. The price is good and they last a long time even with machine washing and drying.
