Like many reviewers, I am so happy I bought this bed for my dog. I own a Belgian Malinois puppy and I regular spend $60-$80 monthly on new beds. This thing is tough and well worth the investment. Durable!!!!
I purchased this bed 18 months ago and it has held up to my XLAmerican bully. One corner is chewed a bit but the rest is perfect. I just washed it and it looks great. He was going through a bed or more a month before this one. Yes itâs pricey but well worth it.

NOT tear resistant.
I bought this because I have a 2 year old pit mix rescue that suffers separation anxiety and can be destructive. After going through multiple crib mattresses for a custom bed frame I built, I bought this. Within moments of me leaving for work the following week, the outer cover was torn open. I will not be spending another $200 to replace this product and donât recommend anyone else waste the money. If I could rate zero stars, I would.

Able to Stand up to Kujo
My dog had chewed his way through two supposedly âtoughâ dog beds for her crate. You would have thought the previous dog beds were built with a beef or chicken aroma given how happy my dog was to attack them. Not the same can be said for this K9 Ballistic dog bed. My dog has attempted mutilation mode on this bed but you wouldnât know it by looking at it. She has bitten it, shaken it, and tugged on it but, so far, no damage at all. I am hopeful this will be the last dog bed I will ever need. If youâre looking for a dog bed thatâs really tough, this is the one for you.

I have a 10 month old Rottweiler. He has completely destroyed 3 beds. This is the first bed that is tougher than he is. The design of the K9 ballistic bed is genius. First, the cover zips beneath the bed and is covered by a Velcro secured cover. My dog would have to completely turn the bed over to get to it. But wait, K9 thought of that.Something as simple as 4 small zip ties can be used to secure the bed to the dog create to prevent the dog from lifting the bed. That is so simple but no of the other beds had designed loops to solve the problem.The K9 Ballistic bed is a little more expensive, but do yourself a favor. Spend the money first and you wonât have to keep replacing inferior beds. You know: Donât start none, wonât be none.

I recently purchased the TOUGH DOG BED FOR CRATE for my energetic and rough-playing dog, and I have mixed feelings about its performance. While it boasts several features that are appealing for dogs who tend to dig, scratch, and chew on their beds, I found that it fell short of my expectations in certain areas.One of the key selling points of this dog bed is its DURABLE RIPSTOP BALLISTIC COVER, which claims to be dig-proof, scratch-proof, and waterproof. Unfortunately, my dog managed to damage the cover within just 24 hours of use. Despite the claims, it didn’t hold up well against my dog’s persistent scratching and digging behavior. The waterproof feature, however, did work as intended, and I appreciated the convenience of being able to easily spot clean the bed.The comfort factor of the TOUGH DOG BED FOR CRATE is commendable. It features a 2″ thick solid, non-toxic CertiPUR-US foam, which provides a decent level of orthopedic support for my dog. The foam is stitched for optimal durability, and I found that it held its shape well, even after extended use. The fact that it is made in the USA is also a positive aspect, as it gives me confidence in the quality of the materials used.The design of this dog bed is specifically tailored for crates, making it a suitable choice for crate training or for dogs who prefer the cozy confines of a crate. It fits well inside most standard size dog crates, providing a comfortable and secure space for my dog. LOVE this crate pad!
Bought this for our 4-month old Cavachon who LOVES to chew. I was in the military for a career, and then a law enforcement officer for many years following so I am very familiar with the “ripstop” fabric (used in tactical pants). I have now had this in her kennel for over a month and she realized soon after having it that she COULD NOT chew or scratch through it. She simply gave up her attempt to destroy it and decided to use it as the wonderful mattress that it is. It is so easy to clean, not to mention that it fits exactly to website dimensions, and even though I have had it for just over a month I can, without hesitation, that it is extremely durable!. Yes, it is a bit “pricey”; but, as my old Pop used to say, “you buy cheap and you’ll usually get cheap”! After all, this is for your “fur baby” who. as your human children, should get the best quality that you can provide – if your pinch pennies and skimp on their needs then perhaps you shouldn’t have them!!!

K9 Ballistic is the first bed to survive with Cuba for over a week. As always, before sleeping, Cuba scratches his bed full of enthusiasm. At first, we panicked as we were sure the bed would be destroyed at the first little hole in a few minutes. But no, nothing happened, and to this day, he can rest peacefully on his orthopedic bed.
