LOVE IT!!!!
Is this what real sandalwood smells like? If so, it’s absolutely divine!! I love it! The moment I first opened the package and got hit with the scent, I just had this moment where my brain was like, “Oh. OH. HOLY CRAP.”I’m used to the conventional incense sold in stores, so I totally wasn’t expecting it. I can’t stop opening the package just to take a sniff, it just smells so niiiiiiiice. It makes me want to roll around in it until my skin soaks the scent up or something. This doesn’t smell anything like previous “sandalwood” I’ve burned before…and the box it comes in looks really nice! It even came rolled up inside a reference paper of other scents the company sells.It is smaller, but I think it’s worth the price. There’s no core, so it doesn’t have that pungent, burnt wood smell underneath. You know how some incense sticks smell great in the package, but smell awful once it’s burning? These aren’t like that. It smells just like as it comes in the package!Because of that, the scent feels lighter and less pungent, however it does burn FAST. But the scent is strong when it burns, and once it’s all burnt up, it still lingers in the air like really nice, subtle perfume. Whenever I turn my head, I catch it and it’s absolutely wonderful. For reference, I burnt these around 4:40-ish and it’s 1:38 AM now, and I can still smell it.On the downside, the sticks are fragile because of the lack of wooden core, so you’ll have to be careful handling it, and again, it burns really fast. I’m not sure how it might smell in a larger space, but I burned these in a decently-sized bedroom. Also, these are fairly expensive for incense sticks, so the smaller size and fast burning might be something to think about if you’re strapped for cash.I kinda bought these on a whim, but now I’m hooked. I think I’ll prefer this style of incense from now on!

I love this Sandalwood incense!
This is my very favorite incense – it smells so wonderful! I first found this incense at Epcot Disney (Japan) in Orlando Florida several years ago. I then went on the incense company’s website and purchased some from them but then I realized that they sold it on Amazon as well for less money. I highly recommend this incense and more specifically, this Sandalwood scent. It’s good quality and the scent lasts a long time in your home.

I have been purchasing nippon kodo Kayuragi Incense Sticks – Sandalwood for over 10 years since I discovered it. It was a gift from my friend. It has just right scent, very pleasing scent. It comes with a lovely box and mini square burner but I do not need them for each purchase…. I have accumulated over fifty of the boxes and burners. I wish I can purchase incense only as bulk in the simple package. The incense is relatively pricey that I am paying for the boxes and burners… I use the incense everyday in the morning when I meditate and chant.

If youâre accustomed to more commercial ones, this is the review for you.
Thereâs no going back after trying these!!!! Iâve used incense for 13 years and this is far superior to any scent Iâve ever smelled. My biggest go tos the past few years have been HEM moon and wild berry sweet pea, vanilla, peace of mind..and Iâve definitely wasted money on and been victim to my fair share of random ones that come in enticing packaging that have smelled very chemical, smoky, and burnt.THIS is the only way!!! If youâre accustomed to the larger, bamboo more commercial incense, there will be a couple turn offs with the all natural Japanese incense AT FIRST if youâre accustomed to more commercial incense: for one, they donât burn nearly as longânot only are they considerably shorter, but there is no bamboo center to slow the burn. However, this is the properties of burning an all natural, no frills incense. Other side of the same token, there is no burnt, smoky smell during or after! Itâs pure aromatic, therapeutic, goodness!! Secondly, they are far more delicate; however the package they came in resulted in no breakage and all you have to do is handle them gently. Theres no messy ash that gets all over the place. The ash remains relatively intact for easy disposal. I am not disappointed and am looking forward to trying more scents!
