Garbage
GARBAGEIM GIVING THIS 5 STARS SO IT WILL BE VISIBLE.look at the one star reviews (i dodnt, and i regret it) I don’t know how the review section has so many 5 star reviews, something is fishy. We bought it in Late June 2023. Didn’t put it together until Christmas 2023. Used it 20 times maybe less, in 10 min workouts. The rollers started disintegrated after the 4th or 5th workout. We stated noticing debris below the machine. Yesterday went to do a 10 minute workout and it seized up. You can’t just by these parts anywhere, must by through maxiclimber. Now even though we’ve used it less than 20 times, our purchase date was more than a year ago. Turns out I should have read the 1 star reviews and not the 4 star. This thing is notorious for falling apart and becoming a 6000 decoration. DO NOT BUY unless you want to use it as a coat rack. For now on I am going right to the bad reviews to look for problems. Complete garbage, a workout machine that gave me more workout time putting it together than actually working out on it. There should be a 0 star rating for items such as this

Great Equipment; Donât Listen To The Complaints
I have been wanting this item very badly since March 2021 and at first purchased via the website but after going through their horrible customer service and then shipping for my order kept being pushed back, I decided to cancel the order, get a refund and repurchase via Amazon since Iâm an Amazon shopaholic! Sooo it was sold out even on Amazon just until recently in mid June 2021 so I had to wait and then made the purchase. I will say I was totally hesitant, a little fearful and unsure after reading all the horrible comments on Amazon about this item and how itâs broken down, etc but I just had to get something to exercise on and this IS the best option next to actual walking for me because it gives you a complete full body workout and so after reading all the horrible reviews from various other buyers I decided to go ahead and made my purchase and guess what!?!………. Iâm soooo glad I did 🙂 Iâm nearly 300lbs and I had absolutely ZERO/NONE problems with anything of this equipment! My husband being a foreman put everything together for me and read through the directions and I held it up at first to allow him to work promptly and he put it together perfectly!! ITS AMAZING!!! Iâve been using for over a month now and have had no problems whatsoever none!!! I clip my cell phone on to watch movies, tv shows and listen to music while I work out and it gives me a complete full body work out! Iâve had no issues, no hearing weird sounds, NOTHING!!! Itâs perfect! I was super worried because of my weight but Iâm proof and can tell others this machine really does hold up to 300lbs as Iâm 295 and again have had no problems! If anyone else who is plus size is looking for something to help you loose weight in the privacy and comfort of your home, I recommend you purchase this equipment!****Update**** 7/31/21So again, Iâm a plus size woman and this sucker is STILL holding up!! Nothing is wrong with it whatsoever!! I havenât weighed myself yet (I keep forgetting weighing must be done first thing in the am after going to the restroom) BUT with the warm ups I do on my arms with 2lb weights and legs with resistance band (level 4) before I even get on the Maxi Climber (ohh and Iâm using it 5 or 6 days a week) I can see and feel a difference in my thighs and arms and also stomach …they are getting more toned! Also let me just add that my work out consist of me getting on the Maxi Climber MULTIPLE times a day…as at first I could only last 30 secs on there….now I can last a few mins before I tire out and then get down…take a break to cool off and then he try back on….I do this multiple times and I like it …Iâm not giving up but I am going at my own pace! There is no way I like stay on their a complete 30 mins straight HECK NO I would fall and pass out while on there! So Iâm going at my own pace and love it! Itâs STILL not broken down! Holds up my weight perfectly! No crazy sounds! Holds my phone up for me to watch TV and play music! Everything is perfect!! Again, donât trust all the horrible and negative comments from ppl who more than likely didnât put it together well or even maybe were too rough with it and they broken it! I just find it amazing Iâm close to 300lbs and it works perfect for me! Will give another update in a few months!

A superb workout once you work out the kinks.
After several months of hemming and hawing I finally pulled the trigger and bought the XL, despite a great amount of trepidation due to the poor quality reviews. I’d wanted a Versaclimber for years, but couldn’t justify the outrageous cost. I finally received the unit and put it together. I applied a bit of silicone spray to the rollers and took it easy. As I started my 3rd workout, my worst fears about the unit came to reality. I began to hear some snaps, crackles, and pops. Within a few minutes the unit began spitting out white plastic pieces. To say I was irritated, would be an understatement. I emailed the seller and got a quick response. I have to tip my cap to customer service. They offered me a replacement unit or the replacement parts, but unfortunately no repair instructions. The last thing I wanted to do was take it apart, package it up and ship that behemoth back. I told them that I wanted the parts, as long as it didn’t rule out a future exchange. They indicated that I could still exchange it if I later decided to. Within a week or two I received a large bag of parts. Hard to imagine an engineer designing key pieces on a unit to be made of plastic, but I digress. I’d futilely hoped I could get easy access to the white plastic rollers contained within the lower “handlebar housing” as they were the parts that had failed. There are 4 rollers that “sandwich” the upper arms, 2 per arm. Even with the cracked pieces, the unit is still usable, but a tad rough. No thanks. I ended up having to disassemble the entire unit in order to replace the parts. The actual process of reassembling the parts into the housing was quite cumbersome. You have to line up the bolt with washers and both rollers, while sliding the bolt through the entire assembly. What a headache, but in reality didn’t take too long. Anyone with any basic mechanical skills and some patience should be able to do it. I’ve since done maybe 30 climbs without a hitch, all interval sessions at a pretty fast clip. I love the unit now, but am sure hoping I don’t have to do that again. I do have two extra rollers just in case. So, all in all, if you get lucky, or have to replace the parts, you should end up with a great product at a good price for this type of equipment. It’s an awesome workout. I get my heart rate elevated like no other. It’ll help you tone up, but hard to imagine building much mass with it. Your cardio should improve immeasurably with consistent use and pushing yourself.

Recomendable.

There was an issue with my purchase on the vendor side. They were very quick to let me know the issue and very quick to resolve it.Have trouble setting up some Ikea items. Assembling this took about 30 min to assemble. Instructions are easy to follow. Only minor mishaps that I’m sure would not happen to others. The Climber works as intended.

Llegó antes de la fecha estimada, ensamblarlo estuvo fácil, y si cumple con lo esperado la puse en el nivel mas bajo y aun asà tiene resistencia, asà que por lo pronto esta muy bien.

I love this machine, and I actually managed to set it up myself! 🙂

This machine provides a great workout, HOWEVER, after a few sessions, one of the upper white pulleys snapped along an outer edge (see photo, zoom in on top red arrow). This area of the machine caused annoying squeaks…we found. Wish we had known to back off the 4 pulley centre bolts as they were all too “factory-tightened” and were not spinning freely with the moving rails. Trying to order the pulleys from the US for Canada is a no-go. For some reason maxiclimber.com will not ship to Canada and will not take a Canadian credit card. So, We have to get a friend in the US to order the #56 upper pulley kit. Easy enough to swap out and replace with the manual directions.
