Intended use is fall prevention for elderly person living independently.
This unit was easy to assemble and easy to adjust the leg height. The rubber feet seem to grip good on a ceramic tile bathroom floor and it feels secure to sit on. Had to warm up the clips for seat attachment, as advised in the instructions. (I used a hair dryer for that) The whole unit is compact in size and fits easily over the toilet in a very small bathroom or with the pail and lid in place for use at the bedside. It is light and easy to move around. Arm rests /grab bars are low and feel secure. The seat is thin and small, about same size and comfort level as a toilet lid from the camping gear section meant to be placed on a bucket. One might consider purchasing a thicker seat for comfort over the long term, but this does the job at affordable price.

Great product! This inexpensive, portable commode is sturdy, sanitary, and easy to assemble. We used it following surgery, when it saved nighttime trips to the bathroom. For easy cleanup, don’t forget to buy commode liners!

Assembles easily and serves the purpose
I ordered this for my upcoming knee surgery. I borrowed one in the past and it worked quite well for hip surgery. It fits well over the toilet and I can easily get up from it. I ordered the round seat first and that was small and uncomfortable. I returned for the oblong seat and am very satisfied with it. The oblong is bigger and the size of standard seat. The round is small and more for child.

Good value for the money
Very easy to assemble, wide and sturdy. The addition of a toilet paper holder would have been a nice convenience, and perhaps a somewhat more rigid toilet seat that does not flex at all when sat upon. But, overall a good value for the price if you want something inexpensive for occasional or short term use. Armrests can not be removed out of the way, and the seat is not padded, so if you need those features this is not a good choice.

Saved Christmas Weekend as a Guest
I had this shipped to my son’s house before my Christmas weekend visit. I could not have used their toilet without any handrails in the guest bathroom. This was not as sturdy as another I have at my house, but it was sturdy enough for a woman. If someone is heavy they would probably want a bariatric one. The nice thing about this is it was easy enough to move out of the way when I wasn’t using the bathroom, for others to still use the toilet in the guest bathroom. My very slender 9 year old grandson could move it out of the way if I forgot. It is quickly assembled according to my son, and he was taking it apart after I went home. It was a Godsend. Thank you Amazon for this affordable alternative.

it is excellent.
by angling the extension into your present toilet seat it will contain splashing and you will not need to use the commode pot as you can flush your toilet. If you do that, you can then lift the commode and put it aside so that others can use your toilet normally. Since doing that means you are not removing the toilet seat the commode might be so high (especially with bidet toilet seats) that short people may find sitting is too high. the other problem is that the width of the arms is not adjustable and some people may dislike the fact that their arms are too close to their body for comfortable leveraging.
a plus is that the commode structure can be folded flat for storage, travel or camping.
