Great SURFACE shave when you need to leave quick, but it isn’t a CLOSE shave. You want to use it if you want to look good first glance, or to keep over grown hair from sticking to your clothes or when you feel like going out without bothering to be extra itchy or hairy. But if you like a really close and smooth shave this trimmer is not for you. That’s what it does, it trims. So if you like being smooth for intimate reasons or for self satisfaction get yourself a different one ð I like it though, I don’t do close shaves often since it can get itchy so this the job just fine.

Poor experience with this trimmer
Bought in Feb. I got the charging dock version. Looks nice, but thatâs the only good point.The guard is minimally adjustable: limited choice of hair length. Itâs very hard on the skin: pulls and the guard is not a smooth glide.Not that easy to use: itâs big and pretty heavy.Worst part is itâs now full of water and obviously no longer works. When I looked, the case is slightly open all around the seam at the dock port end. Either the seal just came apart or maybe it got dropped. No customer service: youâre directed to troubleshoot it yourself.Thereâs no innovation here, itâs just a standard trimmer. Note itâs not a shaver: youâll always have stubble after using.Ditching it and going back to a more mainstream brand with more tools, options and better build quality.

Great for short hair, bad for longer hair
I was hoping this razor might be a great alternative to my corded hair shaver. It does work great on keeping shorter hair short, if you don’t mind cleaning out the blades every few minutes. But for longer hair, it just doesn’t work. I like to keep my chest hair about half its normal length and used the cutting guard to try and trim it. Unfortunately, it mostly just pushed the hair around instead of cutting it, although it did randomly cut some of it. I had to end up using my corded trimmer to recut all of it so it was as short as I wanted and uniformly cut. The battery life is great and the light is helpful. It just doesn’t work on longer hair.

This was a gift but my boyfriend uses it and seems to love it. He said itâs easy to use, it doesnât cut as close as a razor but itâs pretty close and he doesnât worry about cutting himself.

Iâve owned it for a few months now and have used it once or twice a week since owning it. Itâs in the garbage now because Iâm frustrated with it not cutting and/or pulling my beard hair out. The trimmer does everything right except for the core reason you buy a trimmer – trimming hair. More details below.The positives:Waterproof – I had this thing in the shower until I gave up on it and it never stopped functioning.Battery life – I only charged it once and used it numerous times. Held a charge for a couple months.Easy to use – just a single button and three presses take you through all the modes: on, on w/ light and off.The bad:This is really bad considering this is the reason you buy a trimmer. It never really trimmed any type of hair well at all. It would either push my hair out of the way, resulting in an uneven cut or easily get overwhelmed and start pulling my hair. The hair on my body is very fine and it had trouble catching the hair and cutting it. My facial hair is more coarse and it couldnât cut it. It would yank and pull my beard hair constantly. Iâve tried shave butter, wetting my hair, dry hair, slowing down, trying less hair in more passes, starting with the guard on long and slowly getting shorter⦠doesnât matter. The result was always disappointing (and painful) every time. I tried a bit of trimmer oil on the blades, thinking maybe friction between the blades was the issue, but it wasnât. Itâs either not sharp or it just plain doesnât work. If I try to use it to edge up my beard without the guard on, it would barely cut.The guard – absolutely worthless. Thereâs 4 settings and I can barely tell the difference at all between the lowest and highest levels. It always cut about the same length no matter what.Iâm going back to my old trimmer that works, until the waterproof version arrives.

It’s really nice to have the attachment as a part of the trimmer. It’s much better for traveling. A little heads up, the travel case which is a seperate order takes much longer to come in.However really happy with this product.

Comes with a variety of colours to pick from and it’s waterproof making it effortless to cleanI had already purchased the lower end model but it didn’t have the guards I required but I could tell it was a well made trimmer. This version comes with an adjustable low profile guard that has 1mm-4mm settings. It’s the best trimmer I’ve owned regarding nicks and cuts and just in generalIt has an easy USB C charging base and expected 90 minute run time. I would estimate that’s fairly accurate as I only charged it a handful of times and have never had it die on me during operationAbsolutely great unit and supposedly backed with a good warranty for peace of mind
