My 80lb golden was trained using a bell to let us know she wants to go outside. Im glad someone told me about it b/c she doesn’t bark much and just leans against the door to come back inside!! But she will scratch at the door if you don’t hear her do that! So we have been using the bells on the inside of the door for her to tell me it’s time to go outside. It has held up well and looks nice. I realized if I hang one on the outside as well maybe she won’t scratch up the door!! ( I have no idea why it took me so long to figure this out!). Genius! = door is saved! =) and she is happy that she doesn’t have to wait on me to let her back in since I can hear the bells!! heaven forbid I not come asap! lol

Not the best quality but good for training purposes. Our dog knocked the bells off several times, but they were easy to put back on.

Perfect for potty training
We trained our new puppy with these and she does great with them. We just had a baby and the bells are nicer than barks for getting out. Our older dog barks and picked up potty training really fast without bells. Iâm glad we had these for our puppy who didnât pick it up as quickly with barking, but did great with bells.

I just received my “leather” dog bells and at first glance seems chintzy. Its a THIN pleather type material and the bells are fine. Serves the issue I need it for. Not what I would’ve bought if I saw it at the store. Also, I thought it was 2 door bells and not just one. Oh well, my bad.

It could only be improved by adding a few extra snaps to be able to adjust the height of the bells; my handset is fairly low to start with, no place to install the little hook that came with it, so the strap and bells drag a bit. Looped it through my handset a few times and works okay.
