Great flavor/texture
I didn’t notice the price when I selected this product to review. Without seeing the price, I think this is a fantastic product. The taste and texture of this milk powder is great, and it tastes luxurious like cream. I do find it a little difficult to dissolve completely, but the taste makes it worthwhile. I’ve not tried it in baking yet, but I think it will surpass the store-bought milk powder I use. My only concern is the high cost of this powder. It is a small bag, and if I save it for baking, it will probably last me several months. If I want to use it more regularly for drinking, it will last a couple of weeks. Is the taste and quality worth the higher price? I guess that’s subjective.

Great to Have on Hand, Good Quality
Very convenient to have on hand when you don’t have milk. Per the instructions, it works best when the water is heated and then the powder is mixed in. I’ve found that for me, the easiest hack is to throw it into my milk frother. By heating up the water first and then adding the milk powder, it does an excellent job of heating, mixing, and frothing with less effort. The taste is not as rich as fresh whole milk, but at times I’ve preferred doubling the powder amount to get a creamier body. I’ve had much success with using this in béchamel sauces, mornay, and basic roux. Tastes just the same as if I used fresh milk. I’ve not gotten around to using it in baking yet with milk breads, but I’m looking forward to it and will update when I can. So far, I’m very impressed with this milk powder.

Great for during hurricane!
Since I found out that I have problems every time I drink regular milk, I have been drinking A2 milk for about 4 years. My son drinks A2 milk too. I couldn’t believe that A2 powdered milk existed! It was very useful when a hurricane hit here and we didn’t have power for a while. Before the hurricane, we usually finish most of perishable drinks and food, but fortunately, we had this A2 milk powder! It has a slight powdered milk aroma, but that’s ok, it’s powdered milk! I dissolved it in little bit of warm water, then when it and created a nice smooth paste, I added more water. It created a good milk texture. The shelf life is long, so I divided it into 4 portions and vacuum-sealed them with oxygen absorbers in each packet. This way, I make 2 portions at a time, and the rest can stay fresh! Although it is a bit expensive, I highly recommend it to those with dietary restrictions for emergency use.

Looks and tastes more like skim milk
I was given this bag of A2 Whole Milk Powder for free in order to provide an unbiased review as a part of Amazon’s Vine program. I regularly drink plant-based milks but when I drink dairy milk, is it always A2. This milk powder, whether I followed the directions for a single batch or put it directly into my drinks, still came out tasting more like skim than whole milk. It is easy to make, has a lengthy (two-year) shelf life and those are definitely bonuses, but the flavor needed to be enhanced whether it was in my tea or coffee. I tested it by using the water/milk powder ratio as directed and also by putting 2 heaping teaspoonfuls of the powder directly into my drinks. Regardless of which one I used, I had to add creamy oat milk to make my drinks taste right. My sister tested it in tea and coffee as well as in hot cocoa without any enhancements and was pleased with the taste of both options. I hope this helps you.

Mountain Essentials A2 Whole Milk Powde
I have never used milk powder before, but I have some recipes that require it. I did try this as directed to make a cup of milk. Upon opening, it has an interesting smell and a pale yellow color, which makes sense as it is a full-cream milk. Making this as directed, it tastes good. I used a milk frother to mix it so it didn’t have a weird texture and mixed pretty well. So far, I have had no complaints regarding this product.
