Tasty. Nutritious. Lightweight. Easy to make.
Easy to make. Tasty. Nutritious and very lightweight for my backpack. No odor through sealed packaging. Seems sturdy , and the price is reasonable for the quality of the product. Now I have 20 servings of tasty food in my bag and it barely added any weight. The peppers are actually amazing which was a pleasant surprise! Has a very mild but pleasant heat to it which I look forward to during winter camping. The chicken texture is a bit dry but if you let it sit for an extra few minutes before eating it plumps right up.

This was my first experience with the “astronaut food” and it wasn’t too bad. It is a bit pricey, but you do get 2 servings, but, honestly, I ate it all by myself ð. I used slightly less water than recommended and if you let it sit a bit longer, the better the texture will be and it will be less watery. Was very easy to prepare on the backpacking trip. This fajita meat was surprisingly good, not too spicy! I highly recommend to everyone. You won’t be disappointed that’s for sure!!

Pretty good for what it is
Of course, nothing freeze-dried is ever going to taste like your favorite takeout. There are ingredients that give me pause. On the other hand, if you need something hot to eat during a power outage or other emergency, the MH fajita bowl is fine eatin’.The flavor is improved by giving it a good stir once the “cooking” time is up.

Excellent portion size. 2 servings. Add hot water to bag and eat. Took these to BWCA 2024, September. These were quick, easy, delicious, filling, satisfying meal. A necessary part of a portable food PAC. These are dehydrated. Super lightweight. You Cannot weigh your bag down!

Good enough…kind of
I ordered a few of these for a multi night backpacking trip. They are easy to prepare, just add hot water to the bag and that’s it. The taste was ok and they did the trick. I packed 4 of these in my backpack. They are bulky and take up a lot space. If you’re ok with that, then these aren’t too bad. They just didn’t seem worth the price for the ok taste and the amount of room they took up. I did have an Egg Scramble in the mix, and they all kind of tasted the same, not bad, but not really all that good either.
