Worked for us
I recently tried the No Chew Spray for Dogs, and it has been a game changer for my household! With a mischievous puppy who had a habit of chewing on furniture, shoes, and even bandages, I was desperate for a solution that would deter him without causing harm or distress.First off, I appreciate that this spray is alcohol-free and safe for pets. It gives me peace of mind knowing that Iâm not exposing my puppy to any harmful chemicals while trying to train him. The 200ML bottle is a good size, and I’ve found that a little goes a long way, making it a great value for the price. The bitter apple scent is definitely effective! I sprayed it on the furniture and some of the areas he liked to chew on, and within a few days, I noticed a significant decrease in his interest in those items. It seems that the taste truly deters him from chewing. I also used it on his bandages after he had a minor injury, and it successfully prevented him from licking at them, allowing the wound to heal properly. What I love most about this spray is its versatility. Iâve used it both indoors and outdoors without any issues. Whether itâs protecting my garden furniture from his curious little teeth or keeping him from digging into my shoes, this spray has proven to be effective in all scenarios.Another great feature is that the spray dries quickly and doesnât leave any sticky residue behind. This is particularly important for me since I didnât want to worry about any mess after application. It has also not stained any surfaces that I used it on, which is a huge plus.In terms of training, Iâve noticed that using this spray has helped me reinforce positive behavior. When I catch my puppy chewing on appropriate toys instead of the furniture, I reward him, and the no-chew spray acts as a great deterrent for the less appropriate items. Itâs been a valuable tool in my training arsenal.Overall, I highly recommend the No Chew Spray for Dogs to any pet owner facing similar chewing challenges. Itâs safe, effective, and easy to use. This product has not only saved my furniture but has also made training a more manageable and positive experience for both me and my puppy. If you’re struggling with a chewer, this spray is definitely worth a try!

Effective bitter spray, though the smell lingers
Bitter spray is a must-have when you have a puppy in the house, and since I was running low on my usual brand, I decided to give this one a try. It has a very different smell than I expected, it reminds me of mosquito repellent. The strong scent also lingers for quite some time, which wasnât an issue with my previous brand. It does work really well! I caught my puppy chewing on my office chair, gave it a good coating of this spray, and after one lick, he decided it wasnât worth it and found a more appropriate toy to chew on. I also appreciate that this brand is alcohol-free, which is a big plus since my previous spray was not. While the lingering smell isnât ideal, itâs well worth it to protect my furniture.

So far so good, stopped the destruction
I picked this up after adopting our puppy as he was becoming very destructive with certain items in the house including his male dog diapers and his crate. One crate we bought him he destroyed what help the gate door onto the crate. So with the next one we ended up spray this on the spots he might chew on as well as on the diaper where it Velcros to itself. Well let me tell you, this puppy does not like this, he tried chewing up another diaper and got a little bit of chewing on it but stopped. The crate area he had chewed up on the last crate was left alone and has been since. I do reapply this periodically just in case he’s been licking it off slowly. I can’t complain and when I run out I plan to pick up more.

This stuff really works for my puppy
New puppy, new teeth, big chewing problems. This little guy wants to chew on anything and almost everything he can get his teeth on. In the past, I used the “classic” Bitter Apple spray but the bottle I had was over 10 years old and seemed to have lost effectiveness. I thought I would give this a try and it has worked wonders since I sprayed my first chair leg. Furniture, carpet, corner of his dog bed, stair railing…..all sprayed and now all being avoided by the pup. They suggest reapplying every day but I haven’t found that to be necessary yet. One or two applications and he moves on to the next thing to chew. Once he smells this or gets close enough to lick it he immediately loses interest in chewing that item. Pretty amazing how quick and easy this works. I also found the odor to not be very offensive at all….almost had a peppermint smell to me but the dog definitely does like it. A win win situation. Great product, I won’t hesitate to order more if I finish the bottle. Hoping he grows out of this chewing stage in the next couple of months though.

Good chew spray
Works better than others tried. Leaves some residue that has to be wiped. Smell kind of like a stale mint. Odor does go away after a while. Lasts as a deterrent but only relatively briefly.

Lol it seems to work.
Everybody knows what comes with having a puppy, they will chew on anything and everything!! My pups favorite seems to be my furniture right now. I have sprayed all the places she goes for, so far it has worked so im guessing it taste bad? I really hope it’s safe since I’m trusting my puppy won’t have any ill affects from it. It has a slight smell but nothing overpowering. I don’t feel any noticeable residue so that’s a plus.

Iâm NOT Using It
The prohibitions and cautions (see photo) have made me wary of using this spray. Iâm not sure why I may have to consult a vet for a harmless, herbal solution. And why is it âfor external use onlyâ when clearly the dog is likely to lick/grab/chew whatever itâs sprayed on and so ingest it in some way. Perhaps this is the manufacturer just trying to cover all their bases, but the instructions are contradictory and, for me, confusing and Iâm not going to use it.

Doesnât seem to work
I sprayed in and on furniture and baseboards but my puppies still chew on them. Maybe I should spray a 2nd coat.

This bitter apple spray has been effective in discouraging my dog from chewing on furniture. The taste is unpleasant to him, which deters the behavior without causing harm. Spraying it on the affected areas has helped protect my belongings. It’s safe to use around the house, and the scent is not bothersome to humans. The spray has contributed to better habits for my pet, making it a useful aid in training.

We have a new puppy so of course we are going through the ‘chew on every piece of furniture’ phrase. This bitter spray came up and seemed like the perfect deterrent against unwanted behaviour. We’ve tried spraying this all around the house and in particular on all of her favourite furnitures to chew, and so far it’s been fairly effective in cutting down on the amount of chewing that happens. It’s not perfect, and does require a few sprays before it’s probably strong enough to deter her.The bottle is not large but there’s enough to last a long time if it’s used sparingly, and so far there’s no sign of it running low after a couple of weeks of usage.I do think the flavour should probably be concentrated a bit more so that you don’t need to spray so much, but regardless it’s still fairly effective and the chewing has subsided a lot.For the price I do think you could get a slightly larger bottle – at least 300ml – or this could be priced closer to £9.99.

One of our dog started chewing slippers in the last few months. She is 3 years old and never damaged anything before, just started over the summer and already ruined about 5 nice slippers in the house. We are to the point where is no point buying nice slippers so we walk in tatty, super dirty (from the saliva) and ripped slippers. Awful when we have guests as we look like we don’t give much attention to ourselves. To save the future slippers, bought this and kept spraying regularly on them….with no effect at ALL!Dog did not care at all.

We thought we would give this Anti Chew spray a try , as our 6mth old puppy as taken a liking to chewing our conservatory furniture chair legs and table legs all of a sudden . On using for the first time spraying the furniture it worked instantly , she has not chewed any of the furniture at all she just shy`s away from it if she goes near it , she must not like the smell of it or something , but whatever it is it certainly works for us , we sprayed it on 2 days ago and have not needed to reapply it yet . Hopefully it keeps on working , and breaks her habit of chewing .
