Reducing Outbreaks
I’ve been taking a lysine supplement for a year, and itâs been really helpful. Lysine is an amino acid thatâs supposed to help with your immune system, skin, and even make calcium work better in your body. I started taking it mainly to stop cold sores, and since I started, Iâve had fewer and less severe outbreaks. One thing to note, thoughâthe pill is pretty large, so if you have trouble swallowing big pills, this might be an issue. On the bright side, it doesnât have a bad taste, which is a relief. Iâve also noticed that I havenât been getting sick as often, even when others around me were. Just make sure to stick to the recommended amount, because taking too much could upset your stomach. I havenât had any problems, but itâs always good to be careful. Overall, I think lysine is a great supplement if you want to boost your immune system, keep your skin healthy, or prevent cold sores. Just keep in mind that the pill is big, and as always, itâs a good idea to talk to a doctor if youâre unsure about taking it.

I’ve been taking L-Lysine for 20+ years for itchiness as needed. This 1000 mg tab is as effective as the ones I’ve ever taken.

they are fine…except… the PILLS are VERY LARGE and somewhat difficult to swallow
L-Lysine helps with preventing fever blisters. The real problem with this brand, the too large size of the pills.

I split this in half and take on an empty stomach with no problem. I have a noticeable physiological response to taking this. I’m more alert and have more energy. Lysine is such an important molecule and it was the subject of the movie Informant! if you remember that one. Matt Damon plays the true story guy who whistle blew the price fixing scheme of the Lysine manufacturers. Lysine is critical as a supplement in cattle feed and other animal feeds. It’s produced on a huge scale which is why I don’t understand why it is so expensive as a supplement.One of the few supplements I’ve ever taken that I know works and continues to work even after a long period of time. Your body needs this amino acid from diet or supplementation since it cannot produce it on its own. The definition of an essential amino acid is you need it to live and your body can’t make it.

I consumed these l lysine tablets for the first time in my life. they are indeed very effective./ My hand and legs skin look softer than earlier. My keratosis Pilaris ( chicken Skin) is very much smooth now. Knee skin looks baby skin now.This brand NOW is offers effective products. In the beginning i felt some bowel movement with these. So i skipped next day and started taking one tablet at night . And slowly my body got used to it so there is no uneasyness in bowel. It feels like it is healing gut.
