Dog training device really works!
This training device really works. We bought it to stop our dogs from barking at every little thing. We followed the instructions and use the audible beep to get their attention. Then during a round of barking we hit the high frequency button. They do not like that sound whatever it is. Now if they are having a barking session for no reason we just use the audible beep to get their attention. They immediately stop barking. The price point is excellent for an item that really does what it says it does. It’s lightweight, fits easily in your hand and very easy to use.

Bought for: 1. The evil, insane dog next door who jumps up and bites my hand (twice! with blood drawn once of the two times) when I check my mail, and who barks from 7am until they go to sleep at night. 2. Three excessive barkers at different houses that terrorize me when I walk by (with or without dogs of my own). 3. One puppy who does not respond to training and is not food motivated. 4. One dog with a serious bite history, anxiety, who exhibits bad behaviors in spite of training. 5. One dog who wants to murder all other animals and most people, which makes her options very limited in outdoor activities.My results so far:1. No effect on the evil dog. He continued jumping and barking and trying to bite me while I checked my mail. I pressed the Ultrasonic button all the way to my mailbox, and once I was there I had it raised above the fence line, but not over into their yard. He jumped 3 times and on the third jump came up and over enough to bite it out of my hand and break the strap. Note – do not strap this to your wrist when dealing with an aggressive dog.2. Worked on all three barkers with a single 3 second press of the ultrasonic button. They just stopped barking and looked confused. I was able to walk past two easily, and unload groceries from my car with the third barker just watching silently. Amazing! And this device was in my pocket when I aimed and activated it. Stealth mode and it still worked.3. The Beep button worked wonders for this puppy. Corrected all unwanted behaviors with only the beep. Command-Beep-Treat Worked perfectly! No need for the ultrasonic here. You can press and let go, no need to hold these buttons down. Dogs respond quickly to the quick press and release.4. This dog was terrified of it the first time I pressed the ultrasonic button. He did not respond to beep mode. Ran and hid and shook for a minute. It was only a quick press and in response to loud barking at a calm dog walking by outside. I didn’t want to use it again on him, seeing that response. But a few days later he growled at me. He was being territorial over his bed, which is a natural dog behavior.With a bite history, guarding and growling could lead to more biting which is a short road with a sad ending for any dog. So, I used the device, again quick press ultrasonic. It took two presses to break him out of the growling and have him successfully respond to the command of “place” (the couch), which allowed me to take the bed for washing. He did not shake or get scared this time, and reverted immediately to calm and proper behavior. This is a wonderful hands-off approach to training at risk dogs. I would be cautious and gently test each dog’s response, and never use it for extremely scared or truly aggressive dogs. Worked great for correcting guarding behaviors.5. Have not attempted it with this dog yet. I am very hopeful it will help her be more focused and able to follow simple commands. She has failed multiple training courses, and this is a last-resort strategy. Fingers crossed.Overall, this device is well worth the money. It cannot work on all dogs, but it works great for many dogs in many situations. Be careful, be thoughtful and caring, and patient with your dog/dogs. And always, always use the sliding lock function to prevent accidental presses that would only confuse your pup.Also: I encountered a pibull that had broken loose from its harness and ran full speed at me and my dog. Put my dog behind me and clicked it at the pitbull. Dead stop and ran off away from us. Success!Lastly! Love the SOS function. And the flashlight is bright bright. 100% excellent.
