    A satisfying substitute for meat
I don’t eat a lot of beef jerky because I don’t really like the toughness and the inevitable amount of material that requires manual intervention to remove from my teeth. I like the taste, but the effort usually overrides that. This plant based version solves all that. It’s kinda like it they took beef jerky, and chopped it up a bit before pressing it into little pieces. It’s still tough-ish, but has a slight crumbly texture that makes it easier to chew than the leathery real thing. That also greatly reduces the stuff that gets stuck in the teeth, too.Flavor-wise, I don’t think I could tell if I didn’t know this was plant based. The teriyaki flavor is strong, the smell is right, and there’s no unusual aftertaste. It’s certainly the best plant/meat substitute I’ve tried since the phenomenon began. It’s not identical to beef jerky, but if you squint, you can see it from there.

    Pretty good
I don’t usually enjoy plant alternative foods, but I didn’t mind these too much, I even went back for more. My friends all enjoyed sharing it.

    Tasty, Filling, Chewy! Perfect snack!
I’ve tried a couple of other plant based jerkys before and this is now my favorite! It’s surprisingly filling. Just a couple of bites can hit the spot, so it’s a perfect snack. It’s chewy just like a jerky. I love that the ingredients are really clean. I also love that it doesn’t make your hands sticky like some other vegan jerkys, so perfect to take on the go. And the flavor is YUM. The original flavor is by far my favorite – it’s super flavorful without being overpowering. I love the Sweet & Hot flavor too – the perfect little kick and great taste. Teriyaki was really good too, but I’d almost prefer it to have just a bit more punch in it, but still really good. Lastly, I love that it’s soy-free and am recommending it to a friend with a soy allergy!

For plant based jerky its not too bad
For it being plant based jerky its not too bad. Its gluten free however the ingredients list yeast extracts? The flavor was good. The sodium was extremely high. Great for lunch or even an on the go snack. The texture was surprisingly not terrible. However, I would not repurchase but possibly recommend to a vegetarian or vegan friend.

    Great taste and chew
Has a better chew than most vegan jerky, and all three flavors were very tasty.

Low carb but still a bit of salt
Arrived in perfect condition. Glad that it comes in a resealable bag. It does well in terms of being low fat with only two grams of fat per serving. It’s still pretty salty however at 400 mg of Sodium per serving size. I’m happy to see there’s no junk in terms of ingridenents. Product of New Zealand.

    Delicious, great texture, satisfying
I’ve been eating vegan ‘jerky’ since it was called ‘fruit leather’. It’s so great to have actual options these days. This stuff beats the pants off the many others that I have tried, it’s super flavorful with satisfying texture and high protein. Great for road trips or as a trail snack. My non-vegan friends liked it too. I’ll be getting more soon.

Piste Off– I mean Off-Piste… Really?
–What follows is all at the time of writing early morning 2024-10-24– It tastes ok, nothing special. It feels almost like its manufacturing process is similar to that of what’s often referred to as “fruit leather.” As such, it’s missing key fiber-feel when compared to other store-bought jerky made from actual meat. It DOES get stuck in yur teeth like the “real” stuff though. And, while I did NOT appreciate them putting “AND OTHER COOL SH!T” on the bag(shown on 2nd product page picture), their admonishment to reuse them was a nice gesture. Also, the pictures on the product page DO match what’s received in an order. Jerky is notoriously expensive but, holy cow, this stuff is something else. They want $24.99 for 3 1.8oz bags of this stuff. As an amusing side note, the product page says “($14.70 / Ounce)” right after the price, which is inaccurate. 3 x 1.8oz = 5.4oz & $24.99 / 5.4oz = ~$4.63/oz. So, while expensive, it’s not over $14/OUNCE. This was pretty much just a reminder to me of why I don’t buy jerky. Just about everybody selling the stuff wants FAR too much for it despite the fact that, if they’re telling you it needs to be refrigerated or consumed within 3 days, it’s NOT JERKY! TRUE jerky is pretty much completely dried & stays ready to eat for months as long as you KEEP it dry.
