Good But Very Vinegar-y. Heat Them Up and Then Dry Them Out to Improve Flavor & Texture
Out of the bag the regular (not honey version) are too tangy/vinegar-y for my taste. I suspect that the lactic acid (listed in the ingredients) acts as a preservative, but it takes away from what should be a good smoky-type flavor, in my opinion.I found that if you put them in the oven for about 10-15 minutes at 250-300F and then let them cool down for about 10-15 minutes the excessive tanginess goes away and the texture becomes firmer and denser– similar to when foods are reduced in an air dryer (like true jerky). This provides a more concentrated flavor.It’s a little bit of extra work to enjoy these, but I think it makes a big difference in the flavor and texture to do this.

These are really good, good numbers and gluten free
These are great for a quick snack or something to add with a quick lunch. A sandwich or a main dish with a couple of these sticks and that’s plenty. Throw a few of these in a bag on the go and it’s a great way to hold you over between meals. Will definitely buy more. They taste clean to me and not greasy, Great flavor!

The Original is GAS
I have tried both the Original Turkey flavor and the “new” Honey Brown Sugar flavor. The Original is absolutely incredible and for a phenomenal price. However the Honey Brown Sugar flavor is not good and has a gross film around the meat. I give it to the dog and he likes it though.

I’ll let the images speak for themselves… but as soon as they arrived, noticed some white powder on the interior… then really saw how much mold there was! I tossed them away immediately. Do not recommend!
